Hotel Alla Fava is a quaint little hotel close to many local attractions. The amenities are minimal but the place is clean and quiet and the staff were nice and professional. The bed was comfortable and the room nicely appointed with vintage furnishings as you would expect in Venice. We were lucky to have a private bath but be aware there is not airport transport. However, you are much better off to take the water taxi at the very nearby port.

We didn't need the air conditioning, rooms were clean, great location. My husband enjoyed watching the luggage roll across the room due to the slant. Check in was a nightmare. You have to check in by phone, which would have been okay if the person on the other end wasn't so rude. Looking out the window watching the water traffic was interesting. Over all for the price it was comfortable.

The room was fine. It’s in a great location, but there is mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. And the beds were not very comfortable. Besides that, it was just what we needed since we were there 1 night. I would recommend to bring your own pillow or stack some clothes in the pillow case, as the pillows are pretty flat. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for something in a good location and plan on going out most of the day.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Alla Fava. It's well located and easily accessible. The reception staff communicated well and allowed me to check in via WhatsApp, as my arrival time was at night and they don't have 24-hour staff. The room and bathroom were an ideal size and clean, but without luxury, just the basics. I recommend it for those who will be staying for a short time and will only use it for sleeping.

Bedbugs. Beware- I stayed 2 nights and came home covered in bedbug bites. May 2026. Other than that I was fine with everything. This hotel is definitely quirky and you need drop your American expectations if you stay there. There's no receptionist and you just pick up your keys at the front desk in a ziplock with your name on it. There's no restaurant and no bathroom amenities or kettle, but there are vending machines with hot coffee and snacks. The location is really great and central. But the bedbugs - that makes it untenable.
