Guys! Don’t be tempted! It’s cheap but stay anywhere but here! We last minute decided to go to Vernon to watch our son’s hockey playoffs and this was priced right online but the list of red flags are long. ONE good thing: no bed bugs. We checked! We took that bed apart and looked over the mattress thoroughly as we were too late at night to find other accommodations. Mattress was clean but that’s about it. Stains on the carpets. Stains around the toilet. Stains in the shower. We couldn’t sleep because the walls are made of paper and we could hear our neighbour’s conversation. Literally. Back in the day (waaaay back!), this was probably the place to stay but the current owners clearly have no standards. Also, they must have friends or relatives who just hang out… barefoot in the foyer… weird. At the end of the day, this is a one star at best so clearly they had friends and family (or bots) give them the five stars you see online. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!!

the pictures looked better than the actual room. Furniture and bed were old/uncomfortable, and parts of the hotel were unfinished with pipes coming out of walls. Had a very unprofessional/unmaintained vibe and an odd smell. We almost got another hotel even though we couldn't refund.

What I liked was that my room had a patio that led straight into a closed-in courtyard where my dog could play. Overall, for an old hotel, it was nice and clean. What I did not like was that when I tried booking my room, there was NO CONFIRMATION from the website or Hotel email confirming that the room I selected was pet friendly. I checked in, and the agent said the room I selected was not friendly,y so they changed it to one and then found out the room was with only one queen bed. I needed two queens because I was traveling with my 17 yr old son. This was unnecessary stress that could have been easily prevented if the website confirmed a pet-friendly room was selected.

We had a 2 day stay at Divya Sutra, it went well and best price. Would recommend for a best price, accessible to shopping area, fast foods nearby and restaurant. Lots of parking but needs some marking for organized parking. Checking in and out is easy and fast. Booked through expedia.

I had booked 2 adjoining rooms. I even called and was very clear when I booked, 2 weeks previous to arriving. When we arrived the rooms were not accessible to one other so they moved us to another floor. We checked in at 4 pm. At 8:30 pm a couple entered my room with a key card that they were given by front desk. Totally not OK. When I spoke to front desk staff they said "It wasn't entered in the system yet" They did not even apologize.

The first room we had, it smelled like cigarettes, despite their no smoking policy. When we moved to our second room, there was a bucket and a open ceiling in front of our door, because there was a leak. The place is very old and the balconies look like they are about to give in.

It’s clean. It’s cheap. The bed was super comfy and the room size for the price is pretty sweet. The heater fan turned on in the middle of the night making noise but finding the switch to turn it off was central and room didn’t lose heat despite sub zero temperatures outside. Some improvements are due with paint and carpet tile especially in the elevator but overall it will still be the first place I check should I be passing through Vernon again.
