I liked the reception room, parking, and room amenities. Front desk was friendly and helpful when I inquired about food nearby. I didn't like being charged $3.50.for a mini tube of toothpaste. I didn't like that Breakfast wasn't available until 7: 30a (I had to leave at 7: 00a and would have picked a different hotel had I known this...). The overall fit and finish of the rooms and the halls of the hotel was not great. Paint, molding, etc.. just didn't look great. It wasn't old I don't think, but it didn't look good. The coffee maker in our room had a very rusty burner. The room had a bit of a musty smell when we first entered hey, the top of the refrigerator was dusty. Overall an okay hotel... But I was a little surprised based on reviews I thought it would be better.

We've been to this hotel twice for a "staycation." It's very quiet (even on New Year's Eve!) and clean. The studios are well laid out and comfortable. I do want to point out that the hotel is "pet friendly," which is fine, but they do not have specific rooms for pets - the whole first and second floor can be used for guests with pets. We were given a room on the first floor and immediately detected a "wet dog" odor. I sprayed some room spray but that did not help and I began to get an allergic reaction (I am allergic to dogs.) So I went to the front desk to ask about it, the initial reaction "you know this hotel is pet friendly, right?" but in my experience that means they restrict pets to specific rooms. But then the desk agent became apologetic and helpful, moving us to a room on the 3rd floor. Not sure why we were not given a higher floor to begin with, I always put that in my special requests but assumed the hotel was full due to the holiday.
