Hawk Haven | Secluded Log Cabin with Fire Pit & Mountain Views!

Experience a sense of sweet seclusion with your group in this spacious cabin while remaining easily accessible to area activities in Chimney Rock, Black Mountain, and Lake Lure. Each location can be accessed within a 20-25 minute drive down beautiful mountain roads. Reach Asheville's breweries, restaurants, and culture with an easy 35-40 minute drive. Hawk Haven offers plenty of room to spread out with 5 bedrooms, as well as a comfortable gathering area in the living room. Take advantage of the fireplace in the winter months and grill out during the summer. Hawk Haven includes a well-appointed kitchen for cooking family meals and a huge deck to take in the expansive mountain views!

House Layout:
Main Level- Open floor plan for living room, kitchen, and dining area; living room and doors out to upper deck; fully stocked kitchen with island and seating for 3, dishwasher and standard coffee maker; dining table with seating for 6; bedroom with queen and full hall bath; primary bedroom with queen bed and flat-screen TV; private primary bathroom with walk-in shower only; laundry area with washer and dryer.
Upper Level- Second primary bedroom with queen bed and private full bath with shower/tub combo.
Lower Level- Family room with flat-screen TV; bedroom with queen bed; full hall bath (shower only); bedroom with 2 twin beds; kids playroom; garage accessibility.
Outdoors- Upper-level deck with patio furniture and charcoal grill; lower-level patio and outdoor fire pit. The garage is also included in the rental.

Please Note:
- All TVs in the home are streaming only via Roku, and you must log in using your own accounts (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc).
- The ice maker and water dispenser on the refrigerator do not work.
- WIFI is now available through a satellite provider.
- While operable, the gas log fireplace is NOT an included amenity. It is very difficult to light, and you must do it yourself if you wish to use it during your stay. Greybeard will NOT send a technician to the home to light it.

​​​​​​​For groups larger than 10, Blue Bear Cabin is within walking distance of Hawk Haven. Greybeard homes are located close to Pisgah National Forest. Ladybugs and Kudzu Beetles may be seen in our area in the fall and winter months, and it is not uncommon for them to find their way into homes to escape the cooler weather from time to time. They are not poisonous and cannot be exterminated.

During the colder winter months, icy and/or snowy road conditions and delayed snowplow operations are possible within the development. From December through March, please come prepared with AWD or 4WD vehicles. We also highly recommend travel insurance.

This cabin offers its guests barbecue grills and laundry facilities. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Black Mountain cabin is smoke free.
