We arrived at Catalina Island off the Ferry at 10.30am and went straight to the Hotel. We checked in but obviously the room was not ready yet but we were able to leave our baggage in a baggage storage area and they said at reception they would text me when our room was available. I got notified that our room was ready at 1.00pm so we went back and got the keys to our room. The room was very clean,comfortable and air conditioned. We slept well as the bed was very comfortable. There is no breakfast service available at this Hotel but there is a Bistro available on site were you can purchase breakfast items on a chargable basis. I can highly recommend this hotel.

We've stayed in Catalina several times. The Atwater might be my favorite so far. The rooms are small because as most standard hotel rooms are on the island but the hotel is beautiful, clean and the location is so convenient. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. There were 15 of us and we all enjoyed our stay

I wish they offered a golf cart pick up from the ferry for you and your luggage. The rooms are TINY and could barely for suitcases and walk to bathroom. Very pretty hotel and convenience to everything around.

The hotel looks new and modern. I love how it stands out from the older cottages and inns on the island. Its location is at the center at Avalon downtown. It’s close to the ferry, casino, all the restaurants on Crescent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room isn’t big but it has everything we needed. I also love the room design; like the bubbly light at the sink, night light are soft, shower wall has a line of sea themed decoration around. We stayed on the third floor and we didn’t hear any noises. The town gets pretty quiet in the early evening on a Wednesday. The best part is, the hotel has luggage service where you can drop off your bags at the ferry terminal, they transport your bags to the hotel where you pick up when you check in. The same when you Check out, you drop off at the front desk and pick up when you are at the terminal. Super convenient. I’d stay here for this sole reason! We had a great time here.

Really easy to get to (of course, Avalon is tiny), with a central location in town. Room was kind of noisy - lots of drain/water/something noise from the sink, beeping/buzzing outside the window all day long, and the AC in the room ran constantly (at least the fan part). It was clean, as comfortable as could be expected, and although small, normal size for a room on Catalina. The front desk, and everyone we interacted with was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful and friendly.
