I gave this place a 2nd opportunity because of its hot tub rooms. Imagine my outrage when after a 4 hr drive - THERE IS NO HOT WATER FOR THE HOT TUB! No hot water in the sink, no hot water in the shower. It was 20 some degrees and all we wanted was a hot tub relaxing evening and this place couldn't handle having hot water in their hot tubs for their guests. When calling the front desk, the guy only said that all the hot tub rooms were rented. You're telling me the hotel does not have the capability to provide hot water for their rooms and their amenities?! WTH!!! The shower curtain had burnt holes in it and there was even a brown spot that looked like blood behind the bathroom door, questioning the cleanliness of the place. And late Friday night a guy was outside yelling into his phone about Jeremy and the dog, who cares about that?! Take your call privately, nobody needs to hear this, people are trying to rest! The only smooth experience with checking out of this place.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff was super helpful. We had a lovely stay, and their daily included breakfast was very nice. It was mostly carbs, with waffles, toast, bagels, and juices, but they were all very good. They did have boiled eggs and yogurt, too. The rooms were clean and in good condition. Our bed was soft, and pretty comfortable to sleep in. It wouldn't have been good for people looking for a firmer mattress, but we were fine. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room that both worked very well. It is also very close to grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants. A good, central place to stay for tooling around central Maine. We accidentally left my wife's favorite coat there, band they very kindly boxed it up and mailed it to us. Very friendly people and a comfortable stay. It's not a Ritz Carlton, but it's a great place to stay if you're looking for an inexpensive and convenient place to stay during your holiday.
