I don’t see well enough to drive through the mountains in the dark. I decide to get a room for the night. I went to the assigned room, opened the door, and a strong smell hit me right away. Before I put my belongings down in the room, I pulled the sheets back. I do that at every Airbnb, motel, or anywhere else I sleep. There was a huge urine stain on the top and sides of the mattress, it was saturated. It was the smell of urine that hit me when I walked in the door. I took a picture and went to the desk. I asked one of the girls if she could step over to the side to talk in private. I didn’t want to say anything in front of the other guests. I was given another room but was never offered a discount or anything to compensate for the inconvenience of having to gather everything and move to another floor. Another thing, there is no way housekeeping changed the sheets on that bed and did not see that; you could smell it in the air. As I know you are well aware, first impressions are very important. I called down to the desk to see where the menu was located so I could order food. The lady at the desk said, “If you can’t find it in the room, you will have to come to the desk and get it.” I had to chuckle. “Room service?” On a positive note, I sat at the bar while the food I ordered was prepared. The waitress and barmaid were awesome.
