The first room we assigned had TWO dehumidifiers. That should've told us something. The room was damp and uncomfortable all night. We contacted the help number (as there's NO on premises staff) and they moved us to a better room. Two days later, I fell in the tub/shower due to a slick tub aided by soap and hurt my hip. There was no anti-slip mat available which would've prevented the fall. I contacted the help number and informed them of my fall. The person said, "I'm sorry" and nothing more. They showed no signs of concern and no offer for medical assistance. It sounded like I was talking to a 10th grader. Since we stayed a week, on day 5, we asked for room cleaning and told yes. That never happened. Be aware that there's NO elevator to the second floor. I wanna like this place cause it's in my home town. But it sucks. Oh....and they're dam lucky wasn't seriously hurt and didn't sue them.

Great experience with a small town feel

This is a fine AirB&B-like experience. That means no breakfast and no amenities other than the room. But the room was spacious, clean, attractive, and central to Pass Christian. Finding a parking space was tight on the week-end, but fine during the week. From the hotel you can walk to the beach, the docks, local parks and views of scenic homes. Temperature control worked well, ice was available, and workers provided new towels whenever asked. We didn't try the Whiskey Restaurant to which the hotel rooms are attached finding the prices way above our pay grade.

A masterclass on how to run a hotel...

My partner and I travel cross country often. We are platinum members of Hotels.com. We keep track of what places do well and those that don't. It is as if this property understood all of it and did it all well. They understand their location and create decor in the room that fits perfectly. Everything from the furniture to the beautiful beach vibed bed, to the shower that was to die for, to the higher end espresso machine and free goodies, to the high ceilings and airy feel. The attention to detail was spot on. The efficency of check in and out and the kindness of its owner upon leaving... it really added to the day there. Stay here!

One Night Stopover

Ideal location - Pass Christian has a lovely beach and is almost never crowded. You can see the water from the balcony, but it might not be safe to cross the busy highway to walk there. The area around the hotel was charming and easily walkable. The restaurant downstairs was not open when we were there - even for dinner. The bed was very comfortable. Overall we loved our stay but there were a few wobbles. We had our 93-year-old mother with us who uses a walker and she had to climb the stairs because there is no elevator or ramp access. We loved the balcony but be aware it is shared by 4 rooms. Our neighbors were sitting outside smoking cigars so it was not really pleasant to be out there. Lastly, no matter what we tried, we couldn't get the coffeemaker to work. I have owned several Keurig machines in my life and I don't think I'm a complete idiot, but I left without my morning coffee.

I will say the housekeeping staff was sweet, but there were things that really required a deeper clean and repairs that can’t be done between guests. The walls were coated in dust and filth, the shower molding above the trim of the unit and below the air conditioning unit there appeared to have growth. The walls were paper thin so we heard EVERY ‘activity’ in the room next door. They were also using a saw in the building past 10pm. When I called the first night because we were unable to sleep, they were so unaccommodating and would not refund us for the next upcoming night. Horrible customer service. I would never recommend to anyone wanting anything other than a one night stand.

The room had a very unpleasant musty smell. The mattress is comfortable but The sheets were very uncomfortable because they are pilled and of very low quality. They need to be replaced by better quality sheets. Or be replaced more often. The pilling is very uncomfortable on your skin. Also, there were no coffee cups.
