I have stayed at this property several times for business travel. I have always had an overall good experience and feel it is comparable to other national chains in which I do also stay. Great employees, facility is always clean, LOVE they have REAL KING SIZE PILLOWS!!! It was a rainy and very humid night, so I had to keep the AC going to deal with the humidty and smell but that may be out of their control. I did not like that their rates have increased and now charge a $25 a night "resort fee" to boot. They are part of the Big Cedar Lodge group and I think there are some amenities a guest can use over at the big lodge. So, now they are considering this property as a "resort". It is not a resort. It doesn't have a restaurant, room service, bar, spa, etc... It does have an indoor pool and a gym. You have to drive over to the bigger lodge location to use anything extra. I checked in after 9:00PM and checked out before 9:00AM. What type of amenities at Big Cedar am I going to use? It's not about affording the cost but the principal of having to pay a fee. If I stay in the future it will be strictly as a convenience but it still leaves a sour taste.

Not nearly as nice as expected for the price point and a 'big cedar" property. We didn't utilize the pool or adjoining restaurant, so can't speak to those amenities. Cons- Smelled a bit like urine and feet tbh. The room was super damp feeling, even our toddlers were asking why the blankets felt wet. Cob web on the lamp, dirt in the corners to name a few additional misses. Pros- The included breakfast is a good touch with lots of options to suit anyone. They have security rounding all night which is appreciated.
