Overall we enjoyed our visit in the area. Admittedly we hoped the overall condition of the property would be a bit nicer kept up with while still maintaining the older charm, but it’s definitely still gorgeous. They are undergoing major renovations we’ve been told (and saw on our last morning at the property). Service was phenomenal, everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. The grounds are stunning - highly recommend blocking off an evening to walk to the falls and enjoy how gorgeous the grounds are. The restaurants were hit and miss for us. Highly recommend Stickney’s - great steak that we’d go back for. Bretton Arms was an okay for us, good not great. 1902 was definitely a miss for dinner, but a must visit for drinks. We visited the cave every night for late night drinks and enjoyed the bartenders who were super nice! Also loved the game room for a little late night competition. Overall we wouldn’t visit again, but if you’d like to relax in nature could be a good time!

The entire resort has a fantastic view of the mountains. We paid for 5 star hotel price, but lived in a 3 star hotel amenities. Our room and the floor hallway are very old and poor maintained. We had dinner at the main restaurant. Food was terrible and overpriced. Not worth the money we paid. Completely not recommend.

Clean room and comfortable bedding with big bathroom. No mini fridge but was told they are being added with upcoming renovations. Would absolutely stay again and again.

The mountain view is amazing, the breakfast food was so so for 5 stars hotel i thought breakfast will be better quality and taste. Overall my experience to stay there was ok

Beautiful historic hotel in the White Mountains. Make sure to make restaurant reservations well in advance because everything books up and there is not much close by.

We had a wonder view in the Presidential wing. We were upgraded to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We only stayed 2 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. Amenities, service, atmosphere were all phenomenal!

The rooms were clean and so were public spaces but they definitely need a refresh which I was told they are beginning in November. The property is amazing and historic and deserves to be done. It is truly spectacular space.

The food was mediocre at best!! Nothing was hot ! I believe the au gratin potatoes were made earlier and then just popped in the microwave. They were not hot nor creamy ! My lobster bisque soup was just warm I got a dessert I didn't order and it was stale. For the amount of money we paid I expected way more - the stay was nice but the food had a lot to be desired

Picturesque and such amazing history! We splurged and stayed one night of a 9 night trip leaf peeping. Good: views, variety of onsite restaurants, shops, golf, comfortable main lobby and other seating areas, pool. Not so hot: Rosebrook Bar was a hot mess. Nobody knew how to make a drink correctly and the service was terrible. We only saw 1 waiter and 1 bartender. Checking out was clumsy with trying to find a bellhop, then getting your name on a list, waiting for them to come get luggage, then waiting for the valet. Not horrible but be sure you allow for plenty of extra time to get out of there.
