Fisherman's Paradise Cabin 15 ON THE RIVER!!!!

Ask about 1 night stays Sunday thru Thursday. We are on the Tuckasegee River a mile from downtown in the BearHunter Campground. We would be considered a tiny home or park model cabin. Guests have said it is big enough for your family of 4 to not feel cramped. Located in the Great Smoky Mountains, we are close to hiking, rafting, tubing, and kayaking. You'll feel right at home if you enjoy any of these activities, or just want to relax and enjoy the river view. Fishing from the deck is definitely a plus. Our quaint little town has been voted one of the top 10 small towns to visit with local breweries and The Great Smoky Mtn Railroad.
The space
Convenient river access near by makes it your Fisherman' Retreat. A maximum of 4 guests is our policy. NO MORE! We are pet friendly (dogs only) with prior approval. A $50 non refundable fee per pet is due on arrival in cash. Pets must be crated when you are out.
The bedroom has a queen size bed and the other sleeping space is a loft with headroom only. It has a full size bed mattress and is accessible by ladder only. Great for kids or young adults. Towels (1 set per person) and linens are provided free, so you don't have to worry about bringing them with you, unless you don't use a towel more than once. (Sorry) A full galley kitchen is well stocked with all the pots and pans, dishes, glasses and utensils you will need. Bring your paper products, including garbage bags, dish soaps and any other necessities for cooking. There is salt & pepper and some spices but that's it. Coffee filters are provided for the regular full size coffee pot.
Guest access
You have access to the entire Cabin. It is located in the Bear Hunter Campground, although you're not really there for the campground. Sorry no fire pit.
No grill, however you may bring your own.
Other things to note
*The pet fee is for allowing pets to visit. It is to compensate for all the extra cleaning that is takes. It is not a damage fee. If your pet does damage because it has not been crated or watched, you will be requested to pay for the damage.
*Please be honest if you break something. If something is missing or damaged I will turn it in to VRBO and request payment for it.
Please care for our place and things like you care for your own or better. We try hard to provide for our guests and appreciate your understanding.
There is no wifi in the campground at the cabins.
During your stay at this vacation home, you're just a quick walk from Nantahala National Forest. The vacation home includes amenities such as a kitchen and a patio.

It would have been 5 stars had the massive overgrowth of vegetation on the deck not been there. It made it difficult to fish.

I got this cabin for my sister as a Christmas gift. She got an email that the reservation had been canceled and she made other plans. It may have been some sort of phishing attempt, but I didn't know untik too late to cancel until Vrbo started sending emails the week of the reservation. I reached out to see if something could be done like rearranging the trip and was sure the answer would be no, but why not try? She called, I didn't get upset with the host on the phone when she said no, and agreed to eat the cost.But then I expressed interest in the cabin for a later reservation for me and my wife, the host said she would not consider a weekend reservation for me and my wife "because what if this happens again." I didn't give her a moment's difficulty about paying, she didn't have to worry about prepping the property for the nexr guest, and still treated me like a con man instead of someone who lost money because something weird happened.I'm giving her one star because of the way she treated me. I'm sure the property is fine, but just be aware of the kind of person you're dealing with.

God's handiwork

Very clean and cozy cabin. Met owner who was very nice and communicated well. The area had plenty to do, with a variety for all ages. Had a family of ducks that would come to the deck to be fed. Owner even thought of leaving food for guests to feed them. Really enjoyed our time there! Would recommend.

Relaxing and inviting little cabin

We wanted to stop here for a couple of nights at the end of our roadtrip to check out the NOC. We were hoping for something close to Bryson city that was relaxing. It hit the mark! From the beginning the owner was so helpful in our check in process and the place was adorable. We were able to relax outside by the water. It was a perfect ending to our vacation. We will definitely be back and visit this spot or any other properties she has listed. Thank you

Great place and fishing

Enjoyed the stay here. Really nice and clean little place. Would definitely stay again. The property owner does want to meet face to face before you get the code to the door. Which wasn’t a huge deal but not something I’m used to renting lots of VRBO’s in the past. All in all, it’s a great location especially if you like to fly fish. Highly recommended.

Truly enjoyed everything about this place. Only reason i gave 4 stars is the furniture in the home, was very uncomfortable, as well as the bed also. Bed was extremely noisy, getting on and off of it. Not comfortable at all

Awesome place to stay!

Just as described. Kitchen was better stocked then my own at home. No issues at all. Sitting on the covered porch during a thunder storm was so relaxing. One of the best cabins I have ever stayed in.

Cozy Cabin

The cabin was great! It's nicely furnished and has plenty of room. No noisy neighbors like in a hotel. The view of the river is beautiful and relaxing. We especially liked the close proximity to shops, restaurants, and the train depot. We felt right at home and would stay there again.

Cute, Cozy and Very Clean

This was our first trip to Bryson City to scope out the rivers and streams for fly fishing. The cabin was in a great location and we enjoyed the view of the river. We were very happy to see how nice and how clean it was when we entered the cabin. The only recommendations we have is (1) the towels and washcloths should be replaced with better quality; (2) the turnbuckle on the diagonal tension bar on the back porch screen needs to be repaired; and (3) perhaps supplying citronellal candles for the porch as there were a lot of mosquitoes. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here.

Best VRBO

The cabin was lovely. Sits right on the water. Sucks, geese, and trout. The campground is quiet. Great location close to Bryson City. We were there just to actually relax and we were able to do just that. We took in all the sights from Bryson City to Gatlinburg. The host is amazing, came by and we got to spend a few minutes talking and she was wonderful. We will be going back. Side note: even though the campground doesn’t have wifi, our phones worked great and we used a hot spot with no issues. It wasn’t a working vacation so even if that wasn’t the case, we would have been okay.
