Suite was great! The heat didnt work in the bedroom, but cranking the living room heat helped to be warm at night. The tub was fantastic, and I loved the kitchen/dining room combo. Felt like we had a whole apartment! The massage was also great. We enjoyed stumbling across freshly baked cookies one evening, too.

I booked Essex Resort & Spa at the last minute because its convenient location for my visit purpose. This is the first hotel that provided robes for pool and outdoor hot tub. Super nice to use to go out to the hot tub in freezing night and more so coming out of it. Shows how carefully they thought about guest comfort. It was exhilarating after 200 mile drive up from Boston to attend my grandson's state Lego robotics championship. I will be sure stay here again when I am in the area. King suite was very roomy with fully stocked kitchenette and gas fireplace at a very reasonable upcharge.

The staff were very friendly and answered all questions with knowledge of the resort. The only complaint was the hot water. It took forever to heat up in the shower and bathroom shink. The water also backed up in the sink.
