We stayed here with another couple, and it was a great choice. It is located in downtown Calistoga right in the middle of stores, restaurants, and wine tasting rooms. We choose one of the cottages out by the pool, and were not disappointed. The room was spacious with a nice bathroom. We did have our own outdoor patio and hot tub. We were served coffee at our room in the morning, plus a few pastries. Check-in was fast, and the staff was always friendly. From the outside, the hotel looks a bit rustic and older, however the inside is pretty modern. There are 2 bars on either side of the lobby that are separated. The back outdoor area is very large with a nice heated pool, and hot tub. Plenty of seating around the area. And off to the side there is a small outdoor theatre. We will be back!

I stayed in a cottage that has its own hot tub and it was absolute bliss. The perfect weekend getaway. One of the main reason I chose this hotel was the no pet policy. THANK YOU, Mount View Hotel & Spa. In a world where it's hard to even go to a restaurant or grocery store without having to deal with dogs, I truly appreciate being able to enjoy a hotel stay without pets. The private hot tub at the cottage is really a whirlpool/large jacuzzi bathtub that's installed outdoors. It's AWESOME. It's doesn't have a heater or thermostat or a cover, so you have to plug it and run the water yourself like you would a bath, then drain it after you're done each time. Once you're in there, with the jets on, it feels just like a regular hot tub except you have the whole thing to yourself! The cottage is extremely clean, updated, and well appointed. I appreciate the touches such as the espresso maker, complimentary filtered water station, easy to use window blinds, great bath products, mini fridge/wet bar, wine opener, and warm/comfy robes. Truly, the robes are spectacularly warm, not just a cover-up. The pool and spa area is perfect. Both are perfectly heated, and there are plenty of places to sit and recline. The geothermal mineral hot tub is nice and big. The pool is huge. I appreciated the text early in the day that my room was ready early. That was a nice surprise! Garbage pickup in adjacent alley woke me up this morning. Only complaint at all and not a huge deal. It's a town.

24-hour outdoor mineral pool

A quiet comfortable hotel in the very center of Calistoga. The small outdoor mineral pool, open 24 hours, is nice temperature. Aircon is excellent and a small breakfast of coffee and pastries is provided, as are comfortable bathing robes.

If you are visiting Calistoga you understand the hotels are older more historic buildings. This is a very clean and well kept property with modern amenities. Pool/hot tub area very well maintained Amazing place to soak the stress away. Perfect location on main downtown street. Lots of great food options and tasting rooms within walking distance. Only negative is the lack of down town Calistoga parking. It’s an issue no matter where you are visiting in Calistoga not specific to this Hotel. Staff was knowledgeable about the area and very courteous and helpful.

Wonderful heritage property. Located perfectly near all restaurants and shopping. Two suggestion that would make it better. Knowledge / instructions by front desk for where to park during limited posted daytime parking hours. A small refrigerator in room would be nice.

This is a very cute boutique hotel. It’s directly on the main strip of downtown Calistoga so everything is within walking distance. The pool was so warm (perfect temperature) the hot spring hot tub was amazing. Very cute and quaint. Will definitely stay here again.
