You say check is at 3 pm yet I arrived after 5pm and was told my room wasn’t ready and had to wait to find a room. The honors complimentary water was pretty much just a second thought not given in a bag or anything. The coffee /tea bar was poorly stocked. This location would do well to see the Hilton in Buellton/Solvang area 10x better.

Good area, convenient location.

Good room layout & fairly quiet despite nearby freeway. Checkin could have been better - I had messaged via Expedia that we would be arriving in the evening, with a designated time frame. While in transit, well before the designated arrival time I received a call from the hotel wondering if we were coming- they had not checked the messages. When we arrived (.at the time we had designated) we learned there was no elevator service and rooms avail only on 2 & 3rd floors. We were comped the parking charge but asked for a $25 damage deposit- refundable. We were given poor instructions to the stair and had to return to the front desk to again get better instructions for the stair location. It turned out that related signage only faced 1 direction of travel on the corridor and was not visible if coming in a side door from the parking lot that had been suggested for our use. Other than these snags - rest of stay was nicely accommodated for this type of hotel

the hotel is beautiful, nice room, but the only thing I didn't like was the elevators were down for service and I have a bad knee, it was hard to walk up and down the stairs and to bring all our suit case and bags down when we checked out, that was horrible and I was sore and tired.
