Affordable, Kind, Clean and Family Friendly

We always choose Carlsbad by the Sea. Over the many years of staying there has been a lot of improvements. The pool area is great. The Windmill food hall is fun. But the best is the shuttle ride to and from Legoland. Their staff is soooo Nice, I always look forward to our chit chats :) As long as they stay affordable, kind and clean they will be our choice get away destination stay.

When we checked in the older lady that checked me in didn’t provide a receipt, did not check my ID, and I didn’t sign for anything. She couldn’t answer any of my Questions it was horrible. Secondly the property did not disclose that the entire property was under construction and loud construction starting at 6 am. There also aren’t any elevators so going up stairs with luggage especially having any type of disability was a struggle. My family and I checked out the next day and went to a better hotel.

When my family and i first checked in we were given a room in which the room to the left of us was under construction. There was a lot of noise being made. I called the front desk and we were moved to another room/ building which was a lot better. The room was very clean, and you can tell the room was recently updated. I would stay here again.

About 15 min walk from Legoland but they do have a shuttle that takes you to the park (you have to reserve your group on the spot for shuttle). Room is clean and my kids loves the heated outdoor pool. Alot of restaurants around the area.

Our stay was nice! Check in was fast and easy. I could tell the rooms has recently been renovated (smelled of fresh paint) and looks very nice. Walking distance from the flower fields, outlets, and windmill food hall! Only about a 5-10 minute drive to Carlsbad village. The only complaints I have was that it is super close to Legoland and the walls are super thin. We were woken up at 5:30 am by the kids in the room above us running around. They also say at check in to let them know by 10 pm if you would like room service. We opted out of it and room service still came by early morning both mornings of our stay, which isn’t a bad problem just didn’t like that they said to call if we wanted it if room service was going to show up regardless. Overall I would stay there again as long as we are on the top floor.
