Ossipee Log Cabin Connor Pond location, Hiking Bayle Mt. trail, fish,Ski enjoy..

Great (close)Views of Connor Pond launch 1/2 mi. away. .. quiet location.. we really like it. all set up and ready to enjoy a warm spring and hot Summer, Connor Pond directly in view but access 5 min walk.. ( drop off for canoe or kayak at launch area) swim area close by but not at cabin..) great hike to Bayle Mountain trail right behind house , moderately difficult but worth the hike.. remember this is a cabin ( granted well fit out but ) in the woods.). It’s a tree house in deep Summer some views of the Pond in the Fall and Winter it’s right there in all its wonder.. We've been at a number of VERBO locations and compare our Cabin to other choices out there... look at our reviews..! This is NOT a soundproof Condo in Florida..! Families and friends will know where everyone is at all times LOL!!

Nice & Quiet!

Cabin was good "base camp" for exploring White Mts. & Kankamagus Hwy. There are many camps around, tho it was very quiet during our stay (Sun-Thurs). Began each morning enjoying coffee on the small balcony off master bedroom. (for those with back issues....bed is very comfortable!!) A special treat was listening (and seeing) the loons on Connor Pond! Communication with hosts very good. All in all a nice log cabin in the woods!

So peaceful!

We had a great time staying here; the area was very quiet and peaceful with a great little pond right down the road, and the cabin was immaculate.

The perfect retreat

We just completed our small vacation up in NH and had a great time. The cabin is cozy and clean. The owners were very responsive to any of our questions. The cabin has 4 bedrooms, one down stairs and three upstairs. There is a tv with dish network in the bedroom downstairs. The kitchen was clean with plenty of dish-ware and even grilling utensils to use. The back deck has a gas grill to use. The back yard has a nice fire pit and is a great place to gather at the end of the day to enjoy a fire, some drinks and roast up some marshmallows. There is nothing much that you need to bring except maybe a few extra towels and a few fans if you go during a hot streak (it was 90+ everyday we were there). The location is perfect. The cabin is located up a mountain road (dirt rd fyi) there are a few other cabins in the area but it’s very quiet and peaceful. Very close to the house is Conner Pond and a swimming area that attracts people from the area. The water is crystal clear and perfect to swim in. The pond goes down gradually and is knee deep in many areas which was perfect for our little boy to swim and play in. There is a hiking trail that goes up Bayle Mountain right in the back of the house, but we never had a chance to hike it. You won’t be far from Wolfboro and other towns in the lake region. Its about 90 minutes from Whales Tale and the other attractions up in the white mountains. Ossipee has plenty of grocery stores and a few Restaurants also. We enjoyed the visit to Hobbs Brewery and Tavern which was about 15 minutes from the cabin. If your looking forward to a relaxing vacation this is your place.

Nice house , no swimming or hiking

The house is beautiful. Owner is communicative. Just be advised that contrary to the ad listing there is NO swimming, as per state law, and there is NO hiking to the pond. You can walk down the paved road a half mile to a public boat ramp but the posted sign says no swimming. The house has 4 bedrooms. Only one of the bedrooms (not the master) has privacy. The other 3 are interconnected through open doorways that don’t close or overlook the master bedroom in a way that prevents privacy. You can NOT see the lake from the house.

Quiet stay in the Woods

We had a lovely time at the Cabin! The hosts were excellent and quick to respond to questions and even allowed us to check in 1 night early which really helped us out. It was so clean and very charming!! One thing to note (for travelers with small kids) is that the bathroom has been updated to a stand up shower and no longer has the tub.

Remote getaway

Very easy check in, property is on a steep hill in a very remote area across from Connor Pond. Access to the pond is about .8 miles up the road , you’ll see cars parked outside the area . Bring a raft to float or use kayaks for a gorgeous view of the crystal clear water . We rented a boat on Lake Ossipee about 15 minutes away at Lakefront Landing, beautiful day on the lake. Everything was clean and the kitchen very well appointed, the nights were comfortable with the help of a fan in the window with the windows open and breezes. I was imagining a better view from the photos , but the woods were very peaceful. Not much around the area close , but Hobbs restaurant was decent (15 minutes ) , has their own brewed beers. Beware there’s a decent set of stairs to get in, no way to access without, in case anyone has any physical limitations. The shower was good, no bathtub. The master bedroom was large , also note the upstairs loft room looks directly down into the lower bedroom, in case you were expecting privacy lol.

Quiet Say in Beautiful Log Cabin

Location is great for a relaxing getaway. Cozy but spacious, well maintained house with great private yard with fire pit. This place would be great for a relaxing getaway or small get together with friends. The renters, John & Patty, are great.

Peace and quiet

A beautiful log house in a beautiful setting. Not a lot to do but hike, relax sitting in front of the pellet stove and enjoy the abundant nature, but that's exactly what I was looking for. Not far from Tamworth, Conway and the Kancamagus Highway if you're in need of more excitement. John and Patty were wonderful hosts who were very responsive and invested in my having a good experience. My dog loved it, too!

Perfection

My husband and I were looking for a quiet escape for our honeymoon, and found this cabin. To say it was perfect is an understatement. We were well within driving distance to scenic sights and shopping. It was a delight to come back from an eventful day, strike up a fire and listen to the sounds of the NH woods. Thank you so much for such a beautiful place to stay! We will be back!

Lovely remote, rustic cabin…

Wonderful spot! Loved the rustic cabin and remote location. Jacuzzi worked after some time- the water started out rusty but ran clear after filling several times. There was mold around the tub edges. Would recommend having children 7 or 8 or older- the stairs are a bit hazardous for younger children. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you!
