We have stayed in Cookeville several times and this was by far the best room we've ever had! Usually Holiday inn Express is too expensive for us but this time for some reason it wasn't. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The kitchen for the breakfast was immaculate. They had a great variety of food. I just can't say enough about this hotel for the money. It's the beds are comfy. It was just great experience and we were there for a funeral so it made it much more enjoyable to have a good room. Thank you!

Overall a nice hotel. But we felt that the sheets on one of the beds had not been changed before our arrival. There were crumbs, hairs, etc. on the sheets once we pulled the spread back. I don't ask much from a hotel, but clean sheets is a must!

Clean nicely decorated rooms. Great variety for breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Room 116 was noisy due to staff laughing loud and shutting heavy door loudly late into the night. We were across from the laundry area. My only complaint.

No mention of the $150 “accidental” charge they need a physical card for before they check you in. That’s more than the room even costs!! And a little heads up would be nice. The whole point of paying online ahead of time is to make it quick and easy. They couldn’t use the card I used to pay for the room and refused to check me in without a physical card. Then I get in the room and it’s freakin 54 degrees when it’s 56 and raining outside. Not looking forward to coming back here on our return but unfortunately it’s non-refundable. Will not be booking here again though. So much for being a “valued member”.
