Super happy with our stay

The hotel was very clean, lobby was very spacious. My room was the king bed and it was perfect! Loved it, the space was perfect for our 1 night stay. This was a half way point for our very long drive. Plenty of places to eat in the evening close by. The only thing I was upset about their breakfast doesn’t start until 7:00 on Saturday. We needed to be on the road by 7:00 so we were not able to eat. They didn’t even have coffee or fruit. I was disappointed by that.

They advertise a bar onsite but they do not have it available. It physically exists but it’s not staffed or stocked. Therefore, I also thought there would be a small bar menu but there is not. There is also no “snack shop” onsite. There is 1 cooler that is mostly empty, but fortunately it had some bottled waters. It just wasn’t as nice as I had expected given their description online.

Wouldn't let me check in until I use a credit card for damage to room. Told it was a $35 charge, removed a couple days after my stay. They charged me $70 - better be refunded as I did no damage. Breakfast food was cold, unseasoned unfried potatoes, scrambled eggs (good) but served warm. Other La Quinta Inns I've stayed in had way more selections for breakfast and hot food was kept HOT.

We submitted online check as prompted by la Quinta / Wyndham text…got confirmation number and I noted we would be late arrival at 1:30 AM. When we arrived the desk staff said they don’t do online check in and don’t get that information and since they did their room audit already I would have to rebook at almost double the price with no acknowledgment with what would happen to the first payment I made. We had to sleep in our car with our two kids.

swimming pool

I own my own pool. I went to a hotel in the past where I wish I had my pool testing strips. I brought them w me. I was there w my granddaughter. She wanted to go swimming when we got there July 17-20, 2025. The water in the pool was clear and sparkling. When I tested it however, the pH was really low and there was no chlorine in the water. I made sure my granddaughter showered after swimming. The same thing happened the next day, the pH even lower. The last night we were there, when we walked into the pool area, it smelled like fish. I tested the pool again and it was worse than the previous two day. luckily she hasn't gotten sick from it.
