Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The room was filthy dirty and reaked of cigarette smoke. I have asthma & breathing was a struggle. Had to go to car to get nebulizer machine . The toilet kept running all night long. Heat did not work. Slept in my clothes, Heavy winter coat, hat, scarves and gloves. Am permanently physically disabled and happen to be extremely cold tolerant. I had changed my reservation from 2 people to 1 person & motel staff did not honor this. There are no handicapped parking spots on the premises ( per fellow who checked me in ). I checked in on Thanksgiving night and the motel was full. I was granted a late checkout of noontime, which was very much appreciated. However, I could not remain in this room
as my breathing was compromised and it was extremely cold. Was up all night long and looked out the window of the room at Dawn only to see piles of trash. Rusty screens, used syringes, and all sorts of other disturbing items on the ground. There were four or so deadbolts on the door of the room. In order to access the front desk you have to enter through plexiglass doors. Signs about Sex Trafficking were posted in the lobby - indicating that such activity would not be tolerated. The staff told me several times that the whole building was under 24 hour surveillance- even prior to my sfay. I did not ask if this was the case. Sobbing upon checkout, I expressed my concerns to the gal at the front desk. Response “ Under Renovations “ Shoulder shrug.
