Check in went well. The house was clean. But there were some areas that needed attention. The A/C in the south east "sun room" did not work it stayed hot in there. The door on the south side of the house did not have a strong arm or chain or anything to prevent it from being pulled by the wind every time it was opened and slamming into the windows. I was concerned that the window would break but it didn't. The pool table was a joke. It was unlevel and the sticks were crooked and had no felt on the tips. We laughed that off when trying to have some friendly competitive games, (that was impossible). Both propane tanks were empty. I got one for the grill myself. I was told that I would be reimbursed when I submitted the receipt for it, but I have not seen it yet. When the person delivered the 2nd tank the next day. I showed him a small chest down stairs where the top drawer door was broken. And he told me "yeah we know about that I guess they will fix it one day" The grass around the outside needed to be cut it was almost knee high. It would take someone about 20 minutes with a weed wacker to make it look nice. The tree in front is ridiculous and needs trimming as well. Not much view of a Dauphin Island sunset from there. But the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was adequate, and the hot tub was nice and worked fine. The teenagers really enjoyed that. Overall probably a 3.5 rating. I will be back to Dauphin Island, but probably stay somewhere else, not at "Second Wind".
