Upon arrival we were told we could check in early for $50 but then was told no rooms available and to keep checking back. When we finally were able to check in the staff advised our room had been ready and due to shift change that’s why we weren’t able to get our room.

The hotel lobby smelled like roses, and very clean all around. Minor maintenance, but there was definitely an active maintenance man. The restaurants breakfast was okay, we didnt have lunch, dinner, or the complementary drinks the hotel offered. The pool was clean, but Freezing! my girls tried to swim, but it was just to cold, that was a big disappointment. Overall it is a very nice, clean, well kept hotel, and we would consider staying here again on our next visit when it would be very seasonally hot. I would choose a heated or indoor pool if we returned before the ocean was warmer again.

Photos on website not updated after hurricane damage and remodel. Both elevators did not work entire stay. The floor in room was filthy making bottoms of feet black. No safe in room. Pool towels not restocked at pool area requiring us to constantly go to front desk for towels. Only good comment was that lady who checked us in (I think her name was Miss Gwen) was very helpful.

I had a wonderful stay. The pool was amazing, clean, and perfect for relaxing. The rooms were surprisingly spotless, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly, and the overall experience was enjoyable. The only downside was that the elevator was broken, and I was staying on the 5th floor, which made things a bit inconvenient. While this was frustrating, it didn’t take away from the overall quality of my stay. Despite this issue, I would definitely stay again and recommend the hotel for its cleanliness and great amenities. Hopefully, the elevator will be fixed by my next visit!

Challenging weekend

It’s the beginning of spring break, only 1 person working at the front counter, room was not ready, didn’t check in until 5pm, elevators didn’t work and the commode wouldn’t flush. We had a nice room, ocean front view but lots of issues to endure.

We have stayed here before with no issues. This time, elevator was broken. No discount, no consideration for older customers that would possibly need help with luggage on stairs, just a "oh you can cancel" while we are standing there to check in- no advance notice and with no where else to stay on a very busy weekend. Vending was beoken.

The rooms were fine but the hotel elevators, all of them, were out. In addition, after insisting that we must wait until 4 pm to check in, the computers were down. Many of us waited 30 min to an hour to check in and receive a room key, then had to get ourselves and luggage up 8 flights of stairs. Paying a lot of money for one night then dealing with these things was a lot to ask.

The hotel had NO working elevators and had no idea of when they would be repaired. There were no 1st floor rooms available so we were put on the 4th floor. Climbing 4 flights of stairs with luggage and up and down each time we would leave or return was not easy considering my spouse had a bad knee. We booked the room the day before our arrival and apparently the elevators were not working at the time of booking and we were not informed. Had we known, we would have chosen a different hotel. Because we booked thru Expedia, no refund was given. The hotel should have offered some sort of compensation or be required by law to inform their incoming guest that their 5 story hotel has no working elevators.
