We very much enjoyed the historical significance of this nicely refurbished property and will stay again on our next trip to/through Decorah. Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed and the hotel staff are courteous as well as helpful.

Disappointing

Stayed in Presidential Suite. Very noisy from Water street both at night and in morning. Poor lighting in room especially after sun went down. No full service restaurant although many close by.

The building is old, but beautifully maintained and updated. There is so much more interest and character in a building with history, a building which was constructed in an era when craftsmanship was prized and the materials used were beautiful wood and stone. It was a pleasure to stay there.

This is a grand old hotel with beautiful woodwork. We've enjoyed staying here several times through the years. It's right on Water Street where the main stores and restaurants are and is a nice little walk to Vesterheim museum.

The hotel is on the Main Street of Decorah with walkable access to shopping and restaurants. Many of the original features of the hotel still exist so it has the feel of a 1920s/30s hotel. Rooms are modern and comfortable.

Excellent stay at Hotel Winn & wished for more than just a quick night! Walked up to Phelp's Park (a must-do!) after grabbing a latte at Impact to go with the excellent continental breakfast. We did visit the bar the night before & enjoyed the potstickers & chicken satay. It is my 3rd time staying at the old beauty & can't wait to return!
