My stay at Motel 8 wasn't well. My room had an unpleasant odor of urine. The air conditioner wasn't clean and had a musky smell when it was running. In the bathroom, the floor towel was used (body hair from a previous guest). Dried blood was on the bathroom wall and door. Ants were in the room. They were drinking water condensation from my water bottle and trash can. The top bedding had stains.

For the Decorah area, I was surprised at the rough condition and esp disinfectant smell in my room. I'm highly sensitive to smoke, fumes and smells, and the disinfectant smell was strong, then it makes you wonder why they had disinfectant? Otherwise it was a place to spend the night.
