Mile + dirt road into property. Provide detailed map with property ID and access info. Unit numbers should be visiable driving by. Leave the light on. This can be done remotely.

The floors in our cabin were dirty, like they hadn't swept after the last people had stayed there. The menu at the restaurant at the hotel was very limited and they didn't have a few items on the menu we were interested in. The service road to the cabin was full of potholes and not well maintained.

When I booked the Loge Glacier (formerly known as The Izaak Walton Hotel- a much better name because it fits the hotel better) I was expecting rustic and that's what I got. Built in the 1930's, it still has that old time charm. The room was small but very comfortable and shower and sink worked well. I would have loved a TV, but I suppose it would have subtracted for the ambiance. The hotel is very isolated. The nearest store or restaurant is 30 miles away. The food in the cafe was good but had a very limited menu. The lunch and dinner menu were the exact same which would grow old fast if you stay for more than a few days. Being so isolated, there's no other choice unless you eat at the park. I did not care for the $27 per day "resort fee". During the four nights we stayed in September there was not a single special activity going on. They say it's because they can loan equipment, but don't say what this equipment is. A bicycle goes for $35 a day so that can't be part of the resort fee. I wish they could give out some kind of welcome information when you check in, so people know what gear is available, hiking in the area, or anything special going on. Maybe the fee wouldn't have bothered me so much. They are located in a very beautiful area in the mountains. One of my favorite hikes was located just behind the hotel. We had to discover it on our own, because it was another thing they didn't tell us.

Cool place in the woods near Glacier

Cabin was in the woods. Overall it was all good. My only complaint was having to drive over a mile on a dirt road that had a lot of pot holes and not fun to drive in poring rain

We stayed 4 days. We came in on the Train. It would be nice if there was a shuttle service to help you get back and forth from the platform. It is a 1/4 mile walk . Staff was very friendly and helpfull. We were told that the red bus pucked up there to go on tours and it does not. There is also no car rental like there use to be. So if you are not prepaired ahead of time and you com in by train you are going to be sitting there or pay 100s of dollars for an Uber. I was very relaxing. They do need to have a wider variety of items on the menu. Like pancakes and chicken or fish.

The cabin was very clean. The ceiling fan didn’t work , and there were no instructions on how to use TV. Unlike anything I’ve seen - TV used CAST where you use your apps to watch Tv. Our cabin did not have two chairs on porch or picnic table and fire ring as all the other cabins had both. We were given two different codes to get into cabin. First one didn’t work. There is a restaurant at the Lodge but no shopping nearby. There is laundry service. Location was 30 minutes from West Glacier .

Absolutely gorgeous natural beauty surrounding this beautifully decorated property. The trains, the natural greenery, the quietness and lack of TV and bad wifi - all 10/10. A couple things to note - our (over) $500 a night (CAD) - there is absolutely no food offered after 8pm. We arrived at 8:21 absolutely famished. We were pointed 30 miles away. We drove. It was closed. DO NOT ARRIVE LATE. Our room was cute. Like the pictures in the advertisement. We had room 202. DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 202. View is the hotel sign, parking lot and sound is traffic. Please note there is a skeleton staff working, there is booze offered at the downstairs bar after 8pm but no food and it’s hard to find staff to answer any questions.

Love the amenities in the room

Love the amenities in the room, all the gears to support your adventure! The coffee was really good too! Love the historic railways/trains surrounding and very close proximity to Goat Lick Overlook (even though we didn’t see any goat when we were there), good wifi for our hotel room as well (which is really helpful since there is no cell signal at all in the area). The route to the hotel from the park is scenic as well.
