Good place to stay for a stopover for my trip to Cherohala Skyway and Blue Ridge with lots of dining options around. Nice clean rooms and firm bed, which I liked.

Zero bed or linen service during a week long stay. Carpet in hallways is filthy. Not dirty, filthy. Smelled. Very noisy remodeling. Knocked on our door at 7:30 PM wanting to come in and install something in the closet.. Room itself was okay, but very noisy slamming doors past 9:00pm. Good coffee in lobby.

Sadly, I would’ve given this hotel a one, but since it’s the only hotel in Etowah I’m giving out a two. They put us in a room that had floodlights shining into our space, and even with the blackout curtains, it kept the room somewhere light while trying to sleep. The bed was bad. When I went to take a bath, there was mildew around the edges. And for entertainment, while in the bath, I got to see a cockroach run across the floor. The lampshade had it’s binding falling off.
