To set expectations - this is advertised as a ‘boutique’ hotel and it may have been many years ago but is not now. It is rundown with old amenities not very well kept up. The online pictures are deceiving so be sure you know what you are actually getting. The staff were friendly and it was mostly clean except for older parts of the room that needed a deep clean or replacement.

Nice hotel

The receptionist was most friendly and accomodating. I notified her that we would arrive late and she gave instructions and even followed up with a phone call to check our progress and arrival time. We arrived earlier than expected and she greeted us warmly and made us feel so comfortable!

Need new mattresses

The first room we were given had paw prints stained on the sheets. I knew it was a dog friendly hotel and that was okay just didn't want the stained sheets. They did give us another room and it was paw print free. The mattresses were not comfortable at all. Overall the 2nd room was much better than the 1st and cleaner

I was traveling with my dogs and this place looked nice when i searched. The quality of ths place is almost the same as Motel 6. Bathtop didnt drain the water, towels and blankets were so old. Onlything I like this place about is there were no stingky smell in the room.

Enjoyed Our Stay

This is our second stay. Had a room in the courtyard right by the pool. Very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Walked to the brewery for lunch. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast. There is a nice dog park (but needs some maintenance). Walked along the river, beautiful! Will stay again.

Really good staff, helpful, polite, prompt. Really what made this place a good stay. Decor and fixtures are a bit dated but over all, clean, safe, decent pool, and an affordable place to stay and see the redwood forest near by.

The staff was super nice, but this is not a boutique hotel. I chose not to shower since there was obvious mildew in the caulking in the shower. The bed skirts were stained and ripped and the bathroom door was covered in black fingerprints. The linens were obviously new and clean, so thank gives for that. It was old. They threw in new floors and some wayfair chairs and called it “boutique.” The lobby looks great, but the rest of the building was pretty janky. Breakfast was so insanely early that we didn’t make it. It was cheap, so I guess that’s a bonus. They are trying, but they need to do more work for sure.
