There was visible mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. As a result, I avoided using the bathroom as much as possible and didn't use the shower at all for fear of the heat and humidity encouraging a release of spores that would adversely affect mine and my dog's health. Because I only discovered the mold on the second day of my stay, New Year's Day, I was not able to get an immediate resolution from the acting hotel manager since he was off for the holiday.

Room had baby roaches in small areas. While not a major problem, it was unexpected. Also, stovetop burners but no oven. Only a small microwave. Room was also located next to an occupant with a barking dog.

Affordable Suites was convenient to the area we needed to be. The room was clean, neat, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and actually called to let us know that our room was ready and we could check in earlier than we planned. I would not hesitate to recommend Affordable Suites Florence to anyone in the area.
