No hot water

I had no hot water for showers and all other hotels were booked because of an event. This is not my preferred hotel when I visit Gainesville but I won’t be staying here again.

This is a good hotel while traveling through Gainesville or visiting for a few nights on business or other purposes. Nice lobby and I liked that it has a kitchen with an extensive menu and good prices. Comfy bed and pillows, good shower. Pool outside. It would be wise, however, for the hotels in the area to request police patrol. Shortly after I checked in, I walked out to my car and a man was looking into it. He quickly hit his remote to lock his nearby van . . . and stepped away to a dark area on the side of the building. Very unsettling. I talked with the front desk team and appreciate that they were responsive, one immediately walked outside. However, I did worry about it on and off through the night. I was very relieved that my car was ok in the morning. I may not stay in this area again when passing through, though it seemed to be a very safe area close to shops, restaurants, etc.

If you are pulling anything… trailer/camper, do not pull in as you will end up backing out the entire way. We had to park in what the call their “overflow parking” across the street in Sam’s Club parking lot, not ideal. I cups in the room are light roast and nasty. We did order a flatbread, chicken sandwich/fries and they were all very good, The bed was VERY comfortable!

We really enjoyed the hotel itself our only complaint was the pillows. Anyone knows bad pillows make it very hard to sleep. Everything else was perfect. The pillows are the reason for the 4 star and not 5. There is tons to eat around the hotel shopping right around the corner. Very nice inside and out.
