Won’t stay again

1) no heat and 50 degrees when checking in. Two different stories, one the boilers were not working and so they shut down for the season and two it was time to shut down for season. Early May? Colorado? 6,000 elevation and it is time to shut down boilers for season? Next day rain and 32 degrees. 2) Widows and doors left open which made it even colder 3) staff did bring space heater and extra comforter to room - thank you!! 4) pets allowed and barking dogs penalize guests who are trying to enjoy their stay and sleep. 5) food average and overpriced for the quality 6) service in Legend Coffee shop rude and unhelpful. 7) bathroom large but no place for toiletries. A cabinet could easily be placed in the bathroom. 8) check in staff helpful and did give us 4 drink tickets to use. But for us this will be our final stay at Hotel Colorado.

The hotel was classy, historic, clean, quiet, and and staff was pleasant and helpful. Outside firepits and grounds were very pleasant and the walks to the hot springs and downtown Glennwood Springs was easy, convient, and pretty. And, adding to all of this and, adding to all of this, the price was terrific.

Glenwood is Aspen circa 1985

The amazing Hotel Colorado was purchased by a hard-working Aspen family. My family knew the late Ralph Melville from church. What a guy! Loved his free breakfasts downstairs for guests and the community. The Hotel's historic hallways and rooms, inspired by an Italian palace, are stunningly beautiful. Its unique atmosphere and ambiance create a truly special experience. Just a short walk over the bridge crossing the hot springs and river, you'll find downtown Glenwood with its fantastic restaurants and pubs."

Beautiful hotel and so full of character

Hotel Colorado has so much character and it is so conveniently located. My daughter and I were able to walk almost everywhere and everyone at the hotel was accommodating and kind. The room was amazing and I loved the decor. I will be going back for sure.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over the weekend for my birthday. Originally we booked a king room but when we checked in we were upgraded for free of charge to own of the suites. It was an amazing surprise and the Devereux Suite is a huge and beautiful suite. It felt like we were in our own apartment. Overall amazing staff and a great place to interact with staff and other visitors. The hotel has a lot of history and walking distance (~5 mins) to the Main Street.
