Bad service
When I was checked in I was assigned to & given a room key for one of their cabin rooms. I didn’t reserve this type of room, but when I questioned it the girl said it was correct. It was rainy and dark and when I first drove up, the porch light was off which made it difficult to navigate the path to the cabin as well as the porch and getting inside. I left my belongings in the front room and left for the event I was attending in Nevada City. At around 1am I returned to my room to find that my key didn’t work. I drove back to the office and was made to stand outside in the cold and rain while a different clerk tried to tell me that I wasn’t checked in to that cabin. Even tho I had the key with the number written on the key holder! Then I found out that the checked someone else into my cabin. When those people entered and saw my belongings, they went back and reported this. I didn’t receive a phone call or any communication letting me know about their error. And when I showed up I was made to feel like I was the one who made a mistake. But they let someone else in a room that had my belongings in it & I was mad. To top it all off, I reserved and paid for a room with a King bed…this cabin had a Queen. I’ve stayed at this hotel before with no issues, but I’m not sure if I’ll go back. There was no apology given by the night clerk and his attitude that I was somehow in the wrong was incredibly rude and insulting.
