This Holiday Inn Express is clean and well-kept, evidenced from the moment I stepped inside. I was disappointed that the fitness area was being repaired, possibly from a ceiling leak. The pool area was adequate for a small number of people, but needed cleaning. Suggestion: Enclose the pool for indoor swimming. Otherwise, quick, personable check-in cinched my pleasant experience at this facility!

I liked that it was very easy to get to from highway 70 in Kinston. I also enjoyed the staff. They were very friendly, courteous and professional. The hotel was well maintain. The breakfast was okay, but I think it could have been better. The food was not as hot as I would have liked. And when you enter the area, there is some grass that need cutting. Also some construction right in front. Those take away from the appearance of the hotel. But I suppose that is beyond their control. Overall I think it's a nice place to stay.

Needs major renovation and cleaning!

The shower was not clean, the floors were dirty. The night stands look like they had not been dusted in months. The charging station did not work on the left side of the bed. I went down for breakfast to get bacon and it was terrible. I received 3 wake up calls the 2days I was there and did not ask for them. I will probably not stay at the hotel again when I’m in town.

There was reno or repair in the room next to me with drilling and hammering and loud talking srting at 9 in the morning. When i got back from funeral services on a very hot day I was told there was no ice ine whole hotel and the fridge was barely cool, they gave me 2 sodas for free which became cool not cold borderline warm after sitting in the fridge. Mostly all Saturday morning there was constant traffic going in and out the stairway doors so no insulation from that noise or the staff that hung out in the hallway. The juice machine didn't work and the door was held closed by a strip of tape., the pancake machine didn't work.

Not a bad hotel, but it's obviously in need of a thorough cleaning and updated decor. The staff is pleasant and are doing their best to make your stay enjoyable. Company need to invest in upkeep of the property. It's obviously decaying due to consistent maximized occupancy.
