Breakfast was good. There was a nice outdoor seating area with a fire pit. But the property was old and outdated. The room with the toilet and shower was very cramped, the lighting above the bathroom sink was terrible, I think a candle could have put out more light. I don’t know if it’s in such a remote location that they’re able to charge so much for one night midweek but $250 was terribly overpriced in my opinion. I’ve stayed in much nicer places for $80.

I was pleasantly surprised that when the door was closed, the noise from the party out front was non-existent. They have done extensive upgrades to the interior furnishings. The only problem was we had a second floor room. They have no elevator and I do not do stairs at all well. I did manage to not fall, but we made reservations early enough, if we had known to ask for a ground floor room, this could have been avoided. I'm sure they don't want guests getting hurt and the attending liability.

Review

Disappointed because the grounds were beautiful. There was a missing screen on the front window. The walkway to the rooms was dirty. To turn on and adjust the air conditioner you had to climb on top of the sink. There was no remote to operate it and I am 73 years old. The room and furniture were old and scuffed and mismatched. But the bed was comfortable.
