TV had no picture - only sound. Staff member came up and attempted to fix it for 20 minutes with no luck. Told me they'd check downstairs and get back to me. Never heard from them. Next day I asked for a discount on the room due to the TV and was refused. "We don't do discounts on TV." Too bad - would have liked to leave a positive review because everything else was decent.

Room was decent and minimal, bed was soft but saggy. Overall clean enough and no smells. Hallway had strong food smells and stairwell had dog waste smell and dirty walls. Outside front door also had a strong dog waste smell and dying plants in pots. Check in was awkward, not polished but employees are trying to do with less it appears. Tea and coffee were awful and zero fruit or non dairy options. This hotel is ok in a pinch - it was clean - but misses the extra hospitality pluses one gets at Hilton and Marriot, usually.

Nice hotel

Overall, this place was convenient & clean, with excellent service at the front desk. Daily housekeeping was a nice surprise. There was no recycling option but I don't think there's much of that in the Harrisonburg area. My only complaint was that our room often smelled of cigarette smoke, perhaps because the outdoor smoking area was below us. This only happened at breakfast time and in the evening. Perhaps the smokers can be given a spot away from the building?

The first room I was originally issued had baby cockroaches crawling on the desk and wall. The desk agent was kind and issued me a new room. I did not see any in the new room. I was expecting a little more for $600+ per night.

When you walk in the facility it is very stark & unwelcoming. The receptionist was very nice & efficient. The hook that holds the shower head was broken so you had to hold the wand while trying to shower. What happened to the plain old stationary shower heads. Why switch to a hand held shower head? The bed was comfortable & the room was clean. When I went for breakfast around 8:30 A.M. the staff was having breakfast & in the way of customers trying to get their food. If the staff is going to eat breakfast it should be before or after the paying customers have eaten.

Staff was neither welcoming or rude just a general business like demeanor. What I didn't appreciate is prior to booking I spoke with front desk who started their pool was heated and working, upon arrival I once again confirmed the pool was heated. Needless to say it was either not heated or not working as it was freezing cold. Spoke to the front desk who advised they turned the temp up, stayed out there for awhile and it never got anywhere close to warm
