The motel was clean and easy access to the town. Would have liked the room darker at night. The well lite parking lot allowed light into the room. Like having a ceiling fan. The heater did sound like it was raining out side. But I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this location to others.
Breakfast was basically carbs—not much fresh. We ended up eating out every morning.
Staff were all super friendly.
Room smelled like urine. Cleaners came in and the smell was still there but it was masked with that cheap hotel cleaner smell.
Front desk tried to call the room and the phone was missing the cord.
Blow dryer was broken.
My husband like firm and I like soft beds—both beds were like a rock, we tossed and turned the whole time.
The walls are thin. We could hear people pacing upstairs all night, I don’t remember hearing that at other hotels.
I think we paid $400 a night during Oktoberfest. The room is not worth that: you’re seriously paying for the location which is fantastic, but the hotel seriously needs more attn and a better breakfast at that price point.
First let’s talk about how nice they were at the front desk, Kayla figured out a credit card issue for us and was very patient. The property was in a perfect area to be able to walk to all The Oktoberfest Festivities, love the swings by the river, super relaxing. Loved the quick breakfast options to grab on your way out for the day especially the lemon loaf and waffles in a bag. The property could be updated a bit and it would be nice if the curtains could block all the walkway light, and if the bathroom and toilet wasn’t such a tight area. But overall, it was a great stay for the price, I will definitely be back!
Our anversary was spent here and it was worth every single penny. What a gem of a place. We rented a cabin and couldnt be happier. The staff was as freindly and accomodating as can be. Our cabin sat on the river and had a patio that overlooked the backyard which was full of bench swings and a fire pit with the river just behind. It was heaven, and if you see a squirel near cabin 2, his name is Ritz, and hes a cracker fantatic. Please tell him we said hello, after, of course, offering him a cracker. 😉
We stayed in a king hotel room. Check in went quick and smoothly. We arrived too early but received a parking pass which allowed us to park and walk around town until the room was ready. The parking pass was good until midnight the next day so that was helpful. The room was clean and spacious except there must have been a gnat problem at one point. I saw dead gnats above the shower and on the ceiling in the bathroom. The fridge is larger than most mini fridges. It was deep enough to hold a small-mdm pizza box. It was very clean. We did not use the microwave or coffee maker. The bed was on the firm side. The towels were clean. They are thinner towels and rags. That did not bother me. I found the shower slick so watch your step. The ceiling fan is nice and the switch is right by the bed. The AC/hear is a wall unit. It makes some significant white noise. It did not bother me but not much does. I think it probably blocked out any noise from the outside. Light does seep in from 2 places at night. The seal under the door on our room was not tight letting light in - minor. The blackout curtains do not pull together because the shears are on the same rod. We used a hair clip to hold them together and that worked fine. Just be aware the outside is well lit at night. It's clearly an older motel that has been redone. We were there just one night. We did not partake of the small Continental breakfast, use the swings, or wade in the river. The families out there appeared to like it.
