This was our third time staying at this location, and will stay again soon. Great pool and hot tub. Breakfast is better than most, serving eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereals, toast, muffins, waffles, yogurt and fruits. Hill City is a great small town.

Nous avons pris un appartement avec 2 chambres ,pas jeune mais propre .Qualite prix au top ,l'hôtel est très bien placé et a tous les avantages autour!le déjeuner est bon propre nous sommes restés 9 nuits et il y change au 2 jours pour les œufs et à la semaine pour les gaufres .Il manquait juste un peu de fruits ,du bacon ,bagel.juste un peu de variété mais j'le retournerais sans hésitation.

I am appalled that this place can call themselves luxury suites. Maybe this would be considered luxury in a third world country. The room was not clean. The edges of the carpet have literally never been vacuumed and were soiled with filth so heavily that you can see a ring all the way around the apartment. There was black hair in the bathtub. The kitchen floors were disgusting including sticky spots crumbs and at least one dead bug. Aside from uncleanliness the furniture was old and dingy. I cringed to let 2 of my kids sleep on the sleeper sofa. The other two beds were comfortable though and appeared to have clean sheets at least. I would not stay here again if it was free. I would not stay here again if I were paid money to stay here. I want to erase this memory from my brain. Thank goodness it was only for one night. My husband and kids swam in the pool since that was the whole reason we wanted to stay at this place. The pool looked very nice in pictures. In reality the entire pool area was so full of dead bugs- literally hundreds of dead bugs all around the outside edges of the space. The hot tub was so ‘off’ on the balance of chemicals that it bleached my son’s black underwear to pink. (Yes I have a 12 year old boy who put on his swim trunks without taking off his undies;) I am trying to think of something positive to say. The free breakfast was pretty decent. Kids and husband enjoyed it and got full. And there was a nice selection of coffee even decaf

Great location for getting around the black hills area. Shops not far away Nice to have access to the motel’s breakfast and pool. This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed there and would go back again.

Shower head was at my eye level and I’m 5’10” making it a little tough to shower. Carpet was old and needed replaced. Confusing checkin process. Shower curtains waaaay too long and flowed onto bathtub floor.

Spacious suites, good home base for longer stays

The Black Hills Luxury Suites are part of the Best Western Golden Spike next door. We got a spacious two-bedroom, one bathroom suite with full kitchen, very nice! There were a number of maintenance items that needed attention, however, so I could not give the property higher marks. I would recommend it as comfortable and a good value.

Luxury Apartments at Best Western

The staff is friendly, the room was comfortable and quiet, and breakfast was very good. Hill City is centralized to the Black Hills area. The town is easy to get around in. We were there over a week and enjoyed everything about our stay.

Another outstanding performance from the staff.

We were attending the 2025 Sturgis Motorcycle rally, which is a monumental occasion with a large influx of people from all over the world. Even with that, the daily breakfast was exceptional and the rooms were kept provided with clean towels and the garbage emptied daily.
