Lovely, beautifully furnished 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage for 2 adults. Perfect for your honeymoon or romantic getaway, but if needed there is room for 2 small children on the living room sectional. You are overlooking a Crystal clear waterway that leads to the Halls River. The River runs thru several lakes on its way to the Homosassa River then to the Gulf of Mexico. Good fishing in crystal clear water right off your patio. Bass, Bluegill, Mullet, Porgy, Sheepshead & stingrays are some of many different varieties that frequent the area. The cottage is a great area for sight seeing, manatee, porpoise, otters, turtles and stingrays frequent the waterways off your dock. Several great blue heron, ibis, many bard owls and wood storks also frequent your back yard. Just recently we’ve had a white peacock that visits every couple of days. We’ve named her princess. She is just beautiful !! There are also a great variety of birds in the area and most of our waterways are bird sanctuaries . You have a dock for a small boat and plenty of room to park your boat and trailer. The cottage comes complete with life vests, 4 person paddle boat, 2 kayaks and a canoe. A lovely yard that is fenced on 2 sides has water on the other two sides. A quiet and charming area to relax.

Best nature coast vacation rental in Homosassa for couples wanting to escape it all! We have stayed in this lovely home twice now and we will be visiting again. The manatees swimming through the backyard, fish,turtles and we seen a baby black tip shark this time. It’s really exciting to just turn the spot light on out back on the dock around 9pm and just watch all the wildlife. Even the squirrels and raccoons are entertaining to watch. Very peaceful and smelled so clean when we walked through the door. There are so many antique and thrift shops around the area you could spend a rainy day enjoying that. We took a couple hour drive to peace river for a day to look for fossils in the river. Found many sharks teeth and prehistoric fossils if your into that it is a beautiful river and to find an area to sift for cheap I recommend Brownsville Park and pay 2 dollars for parking. The owners to this property are right next door which is convenient but honestly you don’t even know they are there the back yard is very private. If you take the gheenoe out you will almost always see manatees it seems. If your not having any luck paddle out to the middle and just patiently wait a few moments with your paddles out of the water in silence to hear one coming up for air. They seem very curious so they will come close. I would recommend this house to anyone who loves nature and privacy.

You will enjoy your stay here. Such a quaint place. We didn’t want to leave. Right in the middle of everything, restaurants and activities. The hosts were fabulous. They left information and brochures for all the spots to visit. The bed was comfy. We saw lots of fish, an otter swam by, circled back and poked his head up to look at us. We also saw the neighborhood albino peacock. It’s very quiet and restful. We will definitely come back! Thank you Debbie and Dennis!

This cottage is a tranquil, beautiful peace of paradise. Located on a large corner lot with inviting seating on different spots along the stream. The inside is perfect for a couple get-away with many helpful necessities. We used the paddle boat with paddles for a short water trip. It is very convenient to Homosassa Springs state park and restaurants abound. Only downside is I wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful time here. The property was so cute. Just as pictured. The owner, Dennis, couldn’t have been nicer. It was so peaceful and we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the wildlife. We saw a family of otters, lots of fish and the neighborhood white peacock, Princess. She was beautiful. It was definitely a great place to stay.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay!First night we watched a Bard Owl Fish. Everyday the water was bussing with life, too many fish to count. The last morning we saw young manatees and a loon. The cottage is perfect and has all the amenities to make you comfortable and feel welcomed. The location is perfect.

It was dark upon arrival making it challenging to find but luckily the owners were home to direct me, as they reside nextdoor. The cabin felt very welcoming and clean, beautifully decorated. Owners are very sweet. Motion sensor lights would be beneficial for at night. Sadly the majority of the time I was there (2 weeks) the water was very low so I could not use the kayaks. It was unusually cool as well. I was hoping to see more wildlife during my stay but did get to meet the Woodstork (s) that visits. The cabin is perfect for a shorter stays, however for longer ones, a few things to consider. No stove/oven (there is a Ninja Air Fryer and some electric skillets), mini fridge, no on-site laundry, no ice or enough space to store a bag of ice. Description says there is a larger fridge with ice out back but there wasn’t. Also no hair dryer. Had I known I would have brought my own. A strainer and some food storage containers would be helpful for the kitchen as well. Overall my stay was comfortable and pleasant. Loved being so close to Crystal River as well as the wildlife state park. Conveniently located close to restaurants and stores. Serene and quiet.

This locations is great for personal craft river access, manatee viewing, natural dock area, and relaxing back yard environment. We thoroughly enjoyed it. WiFi was slow but we didn’t have to have it. Thanks for this great VRBO!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this waterfront cottage. It's a great place for a weekend getaway and is close to MANY Florida Springs attractions (we visited Seven Sisters while here). We found the site very relaxing and I appreciated that there were multiple vessels already in the water available for a quick paddle on the Halls River, which we took advantage of using the canoe at the property. There is also a fantastic restaurant just down the road called Wallace's which had great ambiance and great service--we visited them both nights that we stayed at the cottage. And although we did not bring our dog this time, the property is very dog-friendly and you can close the main gate after you drive into the yard to keep your pup corralled (just keep in mind that there is no fence along the water). The only thing that would make this property better would be a stove and dishwasher, which would facilitate a longer stay. That said, there are some smaller appliances available for cooking, as well as an outdoor grill. All in all, this is definitely a rental that I would return to again for short stays, and I intend to!

I spent 3 nights at the cottage and wished I could have stayed longer. The property is very peaceful and exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed seeing a beautiful white peacock on the property grounds and a short canoe ride led us by an emu/alpaca farm. Enjoyed fishing, using the grill and nearby restaurants. This is definitely a property I would like to rent again.
