Boo to Hotels.com.

The Ramada was beautiful and the staff was amazing. The problem was that I booked the the stay through Hotels.com and couldn't get the discount when there was a slight problem with the room. The whirlpool bath didn't work and the jets in the pool hot tub didn't work. The staff did everything that they could but to no avail. The clerk tried everything she knew to help but couldn't. This was because I booked through Hotels.com. Hotels.com needs to address this and I would like a response that I know won't happen. Yeah to Ramada by Wyndham, boo to Hotels.com.

Our room was quiet and clean, and the hotel staff were pleasant. We enjoyed the kind of boardwalk behind the hotel that led us to a cute little bar with chairs and games to play as we watched the sunset.

Not much surrounding the property. somewhat hard to get to with the local road system. got used to it quickly, though. Nice place overall. You have to drive to get anywhere. Nothing much close by.

Overall, it's a good hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Unfortunately, like all Ramada Inns, it has not yet embraced the sustainability and conservation mindset. Abandance of single-use plastic both at breakfast and in toiletries is saddening, but this unfortunately very typical in American motels of this price range. Likewise, breakfast is overwhelmingly unhealthy, loaded with sugar and low quality carbs. It's unthinkable that individual-use maple syrup sugar are made of corn syrup and transported from faraway, while this place is located in the UP where maple syrup is tapped locally. Again, this is a malady of our economy and not unique to Ramada.

Property is retro—couldn’t tell if that was intentional, or if it just is lost in time. That said, bed was comfy, shower water pressure great and the throwback style was cool. Didn’t eat the breakfast. Coffee decent. Laundry room a plus!

It's exactly what you would expect: a standard, average hotel with the standard, average breakfast options and standard, average rooms. It's exactly what we were looking for as a place to stay and rest at night while visiting family friends during the day. It's nice to be next to the bridge, too.
