Our stay at the Residence Inn on Jekyll Island was absolutely wonderful and exceeded every expectation. The room was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with a full kitchenette that made our stay feel both convenient and luxurious. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the amenities throughout the property were top notch. We loved having a Starbucks on site (although it was with limited hours), as well as the bistro and bar for easy dining options. The pool area was gorgeous, but our favorite spot was the courtyard with the fire pit. Sitting there in the evenings, listening to the ocean and enjoying the views, was pure relaxation and quickly became our favorite place to be during our stay. The staff truly made this experience exceptional. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, especially the gentleman who checked us in, and Lorena, who works the evening shifts. Her hospitality, kindness, and attentiveness made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our entire stay. She went out of her way to ensure everything was comfortable and enjoyable, and we are so grateful for her warmth and professionalism. We visit Jekyll Island every year around this time for our anniversary, and this was our first stay at this hotel, but it will not be our last. We will absolutely be returning next year. Highly recommend!

The hotel was beautiful. The staff was friendly and fast, and any complaints were handled quickly. We had paid extra for an ocean view from the balcony and the room and the room was on the second floor, which did not give us an ocean view from the balcony. It was only a partial ocean view. When I brought it to the staff attention. They moved us to the third floor and the room had a beautiful view from it. The breakfast was wonderful. They had pancakes and you can make your own waffle. There was bananas and oatmeal and things to put in your oatmeal and cereal and plenty of syrup for the waffles and pancakes. Sausage was excellent. I did not try the eggs. I did find a roach, however, in the room and brought it to the staff attention at check out who said that they would have the exterminator out there 123.

Most of the staff was not friendly and sometimes downright dismissive. I booked two rooms, asked for a crib over the phone the day before check in. Asked again at check in. Was told all was good. Arrived in a room without a crib. Went back down to the front desk and was told the crib would be there soon - and was ignored when asking why it was not in the room in the first place. Someone dropped the crib 20 min later at the room entrance - did not offer to set up or anything. There were no sheets, just the pack and play mattress that didn't look very clean. I called and asked for sheet. House keeper came and tried to give me some colorful cover made of polyester. I declined and asked for cotton crib sheets ( I had received similar sheets for the exact same pack and play in another hotel the day before). Was told cribs don't need sheets (!?). After asking again, someone dropped twin bed flat sheets - not for a crib. On another day, my room key stopped working. I went downstairs, another person was having the same issue. The front desk person did something and told me it was fixed. I went back upstairs, it still wasn't working. Went back downstairs, there was a line, ended up having to beg someone from housekeeping to let me into my own room. At no point in these interactions was anyone friendly or understanding . The pros: hotel is clean, the ocean view is great and it was not noisy.

Our stay at Marriott Jekyll Island was absolutely amazing. We stayed during the off-season, which made the pricing more approachable, but even knowing it can be pricier during peak season—I can confidently say the cost is fully justified. The breakfast was phenomenal, with an excellent selection and quality that exceeded expectations. The Starbucks in the lobby quickly became a frequent stop for us, and the lobby restaurant served top-notch food as well—everything we tried was fantastic. We stayed on the bottom floor with an oceanfront balcony, and it could not have been more perfect. The views, the sound of the ocean, and the peaceful atmosphere made the entire stay incredibly restful. The hotel itself was quiet, calm, and relaxing, exactly what we were hoping for. The kitchen area was a huge plus—fully equipped with hotel-provided pots and pans and perfectly suited for our travel needs. The living room space was very comfortable and well laid out. The only downside worth mentioning is that the pull-out couch was not comfortable at all. After the first night, our son opted to sleep directly on the couch instead, which worked better for him. Outside amenities were excellent—plenty of outdoor games, fire pits, easy beach access, and a private picnic table area near the sand dunes, which was such a nice touch. The pool and hot tub area were amazing, especially with the bridge across the middle—it really adds to the experience. All in all, this was an exceptional stay.

The room was clean and spacious. The lobby was very comfortable and I loved all the lawn games and table games. Sad that it was too cold for the pool/beach but they looked lovely. Loved that we were able to check out bikes to ride around the island. The free breakfast was a nice touch but only basic breakfast offerings...but the food at the restaurant was fabulous. We went two different nights and were not disappointed. Overall, a great experience for a reasonable price. I'd come back again if I'm ever in the area.

We arrived to a broken screen door to balcony but maintenance was very responsive. One particular male staff member at front desk, as well as at bar, was rather rude. Other than that, our stay was fabulous. Great location with lots of family-friendly things to do. Bike rides around the island, yard games, pool, hot tub, and beach. Breakfast buffet was great.
