For the price, you don’t get value. No breakfast, no refrigerator or microwave, and it wasn’t particularly clean. As the facility pretty well has a monopoly on the area, I guess they don’t feel like they have to put in much effort.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean this hotel was. The staff was very nice. Kayenta is a quiet town and can feel lonely when arriving in the dark but my room was absolutely five stars.

This is a lovely older property that could have been nice, but wasn’t. Our room was “pet friendly” which must mean ragged carpet by the door and frayed furniture. No fridge or microwave. WI-FI only works in the lobby. I would not choose this place again.

During check-in, I ask for possibility of have ground floor room as we were seniors. The associate coldly said no and gave us 2nd floor room. In the room, the shampoo tube was half full (means used). We went to reception and ask for new ones but got not friendly attitude. We reserved 2 days stay but the room key did not work the 2nd day because the key was programmed only 1 day. No cleaning of the room the 2nd day (not even trash or towel replacement). We were not informed of the need to make that request at check in. Overall, the experience is not a good one. Definitely not recommend this hotel.

The website for the hotel AND where I was sent by Expedia listed the check-in time as 3:00pm. I am a commercial pilot for an air carrier. I had a flight in Kayenta at 3:30pm. I went to check-in so that I could get to my aircraft on time, but the front desk woman said that they changed the check-in time to 4:00pm. I told them that I couldn't wait because I had a flight, and made the reservation THERE because it was close to the airport. She just said "we changed it to 4". I told her that the website read "check-in 3:00pm". She said that the owner decided to change it to 4, and that they will get around to changing it on the website later. I have told my bank, the carrier of my credit card, to not pay the charge, or reverse the charges. I am not paying for this stay. It would be encouraging if someone from Expedia just cancels the charge, and at least send me a message. I spent 131 days in a hotel last year, and over 20 this year already. NOT a good way to conduct business with someone who travels for a living. I have already notified my company not to allow people to stay there.

We checked out and went someplace else. No wifi in rooms, most outlets in the room didn’t work, no ac or heat, room poorly lit. Do not recommend. The lobby and restaurant and pool area all looked great but the room itself was awful.

I stayed here just couple nights for work because other hotels were not available. Its ok for couple nights. The lock in the entrance door to the second floor of the building where i was staying was broken, so every time i left the building i could get back only from the other door, which is on the opposite side of a super super long building. This was very inconvenient! There is no fridge in room, everything else was ok, motel style.

There was no microwave or fridge in the room. There was also no internet. Also there is no free breakfast. Given the cost of the room, you would expect some of these amenities.

Monument Valley Vacation

This motel provided a good location for our vacation at Monument Valley. It was only a 30 min. drive to the Visitor's Welcome Center - where our tours started. We were relocated to another room - since the first one we had checked in had no wifi nor telephone service. We were sent to another building with a larger room with a distant view of the nearby red stone mountains. This room was a nice upgrade - but still had no refrigerator or a microwave over (very disappointed considering the price). The staff was friendly and helpful and we had an enjoyable three night stay.

We were suppose to have a room with a mountain view and a couch. All rooms were suppose to have wiifii. Wifi was ONLY in the lobby. No couch and our view was the parking lot. Don’t offer what you don’t have. Check in lady was obviously tired of dealing with customers. Not very friendly. Cleaning staff did a good job and were very helpful.
