Bathroom issue

I like the hotel. The only real issues were the bathroom. The toilet was loose as it could be without coming completely off. The bathroom door had a deadbolt to lock it that was painted over making it hard to operate causing my 10 year old daughter to get locked in the bathroom. That part was funny though.

Wide variety of breakfast items to start your day; breakfast sandwiches, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit bowls, boiled eggs, coffee, teas, milk, juices. Though property is older, is well-kept and room renovations are in progress. Within walking distance of numerous restaurants and dive / sandal outlet. Cons - no Keurig teas in rooms for non-coffee drinkers and ambient outside noise is an issue due to older windows. Will definitely return.

Marina Del Mar Resort? More like Last Resort– BED BUGS, RUDE STAFF, AND OVERCHARGED! If I could give zero stars, I would. Marina Del Mar Resort was the absolute worst part of our vacation. The place is extremely run-down and clearly neglected. We tried to salvage the evening by going to the bar. Only to be met with rude, dismissive bartenders who openly complained about the number of guests and refused to serve most people. We sat there for over an hour and were only able to get one drink. It was clear we weren’t welcome. We gave the pool a try next, but it was poorly lit, had a weird vibe, and felt downright unsafe with some of the other guests. We eventually returned to our room, hoping to call it a night, but within 15 minutes, I started itching. I told my friend to get up immediately. We turned on the lights and discovered we were covered in bed bug bites. We packed up and left the property by 10 p.m., ending up at a hotel in Homestead that was a quarter of the price and spotlessly clean. Honestly, it saved our last night. It was only 30 min away-we were up till 2 a.m. Washing our clothes and scrubbing our skin off to make sure we didn't bring bed bugs back. To make matters worse, the property also overcharged me by $40, and when contacted, they flat out refused to refund it. No apology, no help. Avoid this place at all costs. Unless you want to bring bedbugs back. If I'm able to attach pictures, I will upload the bites. It is absolutely unreal.

What an unprofessional place! We called between 6-7pm knowing we would arrive after a 19 hour drive after 10pm due to traffic. Was told to check in at sister hotel after hours and they were rude and told us we didn’t have a reservation at first then we found out they gave our room away so had to sleep in a car with 4 kids and a diabetic. They refused to give us a managers number and were extremely rude at the front desk of sister hotel. Completely unacceptable! We are still fighting for a refund which is plain stealing at this point if it’s not returned.
