I recently stayed at the Pelican Bay Key Largo Cottage and had a generally pleasant experience. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, making for a relaxing stay. It had all the basic amenities needed for a getaway, and the location was great for exploring Key Largo. However, the property grounds were not well maintained. The outdoor areas could use some upkeep, as they felt a bit neglected, which took away from the overall atmosphere. While the cottage itself was in good shape, a little more attention to the landscaping and common areas would have made the experience much better. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay in Key Largo and don’t mind the exterior needing some care, this could still be a decent option.

The Pelican Cottages are in a nice location in Key Largo, close to Snooks Bayside restaurant and a breakfast cafe next door. Nice view of the water and free kayaks available (although we didn't use them). We selected the economy queen room, which was so tiny it was pretty much just the size of a bed. This was a great stopover for staying one night in the Keys, but only for a bed to sleep in.

Booked a two-night stay based on reviews and cost. Was not disappointed. Price was fair for area and would definitely go back again. Staff was friendly, room and grounds well kept. Nice deck on water to relax and enjoy the view. Only next time will bring my own blowdryer.

Room was nice - bathroom a bit small. Room had a entry area that included a chair and a refrigerator - nice to store our gear. Great restaurants close by and kayaks available to use. It was a little noisier due to the street noise and a group of motorcycles that came in. Overall, would stay again and ask for a room closer to the water, away from the street.

It was very close to the water with my own parking spot right next to my cottage. I loved the privacy of having my own cottage. I also loved being able to take out a kayak each day with no extra charge.

Everything was clean, spotless. The guy on the office ensured I got to my cottage safely, as I had arrived after dark. A safe place to stay. Water access was so close. The housekeepers were so helpful. Will def be back!!

First time here! Staff very sweet! Loved the cute little cottages, with outdoor table and chairs as well as the docks and beach to hang out at. We also enjoyed being able to walk to places to eat and shop, and parks a close drive as well as other activities within driving distance. If drawback, if close to main road can hear traffic and the cottage we stayed in was small but worked fine for us. I definitely recommend and hope to return one day!

I absolutely loved my stay here. Check in was easy and the very nice man who checked me in gave me many wonderful recommendations for things to go see (most of which I did go see). The property is quiet overall and I got a parking space right next to my room. The private beach, although small, was decked out with plenty of chairs. I got some wonderful sunset photos from the dock as well. It is an older property and the room I had was a bit small, BUT I was barely in the room. It was comfortable and I slept well. Not a complaint, just a helpful tip: The locks on the doors are a little tricky, so it took me a couple days to get the hang of it (don’t push the key in super hard). There’s a little restaurant next door with a wonderful breakfast. On the other side there’s a great Italian restaurant. I have no complaints. I loved my stay and this was hands down the best vacation I ever had. I will definitely be back!
