How can you top a view of the Atlantic from a private balcony? Comfortable room and very clean. The breakfast was fresh and the person overseeing it was friendly and helpful. Front desk staff were friendly and offered dining suggestions. This is definitely an "I'd go back to this place" hotel.

The room itself was okay, but the whole place was infested with ants! When we pulled back the sheets in our first room there were ants crawling around in the bed. Upon further investigation, there were ants throughout the room and all over our baggage as well. We were moved to a second room in a different building and that room also had ants in the bathroom and on one wall of the main room. We were handed a container of bug spray and told we could spray our room. When we said that this was unacceptable and we wanted a refund for our stay, they kindly obliged and we found another hotel down the road.

Two stars because the staff was friendly but the pictures on the listing were not of the motel that we stayed in, there’s two different parts of the property, the nice building in all of the pictures and then the crap, run down motel next to it that you do not see at all in the pictures. Be careful when booking a room everyone!

My stay at the John Yancey was wonderful. The rooms are super clean and up to date. The staff is always friendly and the customer service is excellent. I asked to extend my stay by one day and they gladly extended it and kept me in the same room. I do not have enough accolades to give to the John Yancey and the staff.

The room was clean and housecleaning came once during our three day stay. However, the place was extremely disappointing and the images that are online are misleading. We did not have a table as pictured, no champagne service as described, no hardwood floors, room was much more outdated than what it looks in the pictures. Won’t be coming back here again.
