The property was unsecured from the parking garage to the entrance of the building. There were no directions on the inside as how to get to the room and the check in was a electric check in machine that gave you your keys to your hotel and allowed you into the hotel area were the rooms were without your key. We called for pillows cases and the staff said they didn’t have any. I wears unable to connect to the WiFi and my room window looked out into a concrete storage room. I waked to the front desk and tolled them I wanted to check out immediately and wanted to be refunded for my attempted stay. The front desk clerk immediately said ok contact Expedia to get your refund and never tried to accommodate or address any concerns. The whole place was very sketchy including the front desk clerk almost like some kind of funny business is taking place at the property.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the temperature in the casino. We froze every time we went there. Very uncomfortable. Several from our group had to leave the hotel to buy a jacket.

The horseshoe was a very nice new casino. The rooms were nice and all that I had issues with the staff and the casino floor. They need to fix the machines was there 34 days drop a couple thousand dollars could not win at this casino I had to go to the other casinos and I want them in the other casinos every day, but not in the horseshoe. Somethings up with that.

Casino hotels appear to be a great value if you can avoid gambling too much. We got a room that would have cost much more elsewhere and won $10.

3 places to eat. One I have eaten in several times and the food is very good. This time I have health concerns that limit any fast food types. There were no healthier items available. Rooms are spacious and comfortable but I’m one who pays attention to raveling carpet and dirty baseboards and unstable toilets (it rocked when sitting down). I’ll still choose this hotel over several others in the area as it’s convenient to I-10 but quite.

My only complaint is if you choose to self-park, it is confusing and a very long walk with bags to your room. They would not let me roll my carryon through the casino so that made for a very long walk. I would recommend valet. Other than that, it was great. Food is excellent.
