This hotel is my go to everything I’m in Lake Placid. Parking is right outside the building. The staff are amazing and check you in easily. I once came hours before my check-in and they managed to check me in within the hour. The hotel is clean and gives that lake placid vibe. You can walk to everything from this location.

Overall, the place feels outdated and far too expensive for what it is. I found and killed two spiders near the bed, and the property seems short on staff. The photos are misleading. The only nice part is the lobby area. I would not return.

The hotel was a modern renovation of a older hotel. I liked the design, comfort and walking to the town. Staff was helpful. Bed was very comfortable.

This was such an enjoyable place to stay in Lake Placid! Beautiful interior, gorgeous views of Mirror Lake, yummy breakfast, and very close to everything on main street. We didn't need to move the car at all to do anything in town.

This was an easily accessible hotel to downtown Lake Placid. I stayed in it before it was redone, several years back, and they have done a great job with the update. Comfortable and quiet. Staff was great.

No towels in the room.

I got ready to take my shower, and there were no towels in the bathroom. And there is no phone in the room - no way to contact the front desk (or anyone else at the hotel) I had to get dressed and walk down to the front desk to get towels. They go to great lengths to avoid any human contact - check in online, check out online...some of us still like to talk to human beings when we stay at a hotel.

Our room was clean and quiet, and we did have a lake view which was nice. We seemed to be one of the few rooms with a balcony, but there were no chairs on it to sit on, and the sliding door had no screen, so we couldn't really leave it open it up at night which we would have preferred over running the AC unit. The bathroom was nice, and the shower had very good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The mattress on our bed was way too soft for my wife and my taste, and we didn't really get a good night's sleep. However, the pillows were quite good.
