Rather dated interior, repairs in the room looked like rush jobs. Very noisy, cramped lift which took you to very narrow and dimly lit corridors. No bin in the bathroom for disposal of sanitary products, and the carpet next to the bathroom door was coming away from the carpet gripper leaving the sharp points exposed. Pipework in the corridor was sticking up where radiators had been removed

We thought the accommodation was really good. Everything was clean and comfortable. The room was great with a power shower and TV/tea & coffee facilities. We had a vegetarian breakfast, 2 veg sausages, scrambled egg, hashbrowns and baked beans and the buffet selection was very good, also the drinks selection. Overall our hotel stay was very good. Just one issue and that was the inside of the bin lid needed attention.

Lovely entrance with friendly professional reception staff. Great welcome and good directions to our room. Lift which is small but always good to have. Room was lovely, good beds and spotless bedding, pillows and towels. Bedroom and bathroom very clean even the window ledges were very clean. Very comfortable with chairs and a table so that we could enjoy the fantastic sea view. Table with kettle (very clean) and tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Good size TV with usual channels and some Sky channels. Wardrobe and bedside tables with touch lamps. Couldn't ask for anything better.

Average 3 star. You really get what you pay for. Great location and beds comfortable. Rooms really need some work. Parking is £6 per day it is only free on the street. Would not return but ok for a really cheap place to stay if you are not fussy.

Don’t think it has been updated since the 1980s or cleaned properly for a very long time ! Our first room was shocking ! Second room also awful third room was slightly better spoke to the manager I said the rooms you advertise are not the decor of the rooms you have he said no I said false advertising we were offered a full refund but I was worried there might have not been any vacancies else where so we stayed wouldn’t recommend at all

We stayed two nights and really liked the location. It is situated at the the quieter end of the beautiful promenade. We loved that this part of the prom is free parking right outside the front door, compared to 500metres along where it is meter parking. Do not park at the hotels limited rear parking as has afe. It, like most of the hotels along the prom are well kept and a treat to look at. Our ground floor room was fine and generally comfortable with all ammenities you would expect (tea/coffee, hairdryer). It is a little dated but stille perfectly good for a budget stay in a nice hotel. A few things to constructively critique. The young lady who checked us in and out was nice enough but lacking the welcoming enthusiasm I would expect at a hotel reception. There was zero advice about facilities available in the hotel such as a bar or restaurant. So missed opportunity for potential upsales. The other young lady (blondish hair) on duty after our first night was a delight, couldn't do enough, gave each other a good laugh. On leaving, we pointed out the mattress needs replacing as the springs had gone and it was moderately compensated by the mattress topper. This was in room 130. I do hope this is an exception to all other rooms and will be replaced forthwith. Otherwise, a great place for a relaxing break.

The staff were so welcoming. The location is fantastic. i was there to meet a client, but I would come back as a leisure guest. I remember when it was The County, but the new owners have invested in the hotel, and it looks so much brighter pulling up to the hotel. highly recommend to business or leisure visitors

Great room for the price

Room was a good size with a sea view, bathroom was on the small size. 2 pillows were very much appreciated, though little sleep was had as the room was too warm. Breakfast was plentiful.

Hotel inside looks tired, has recently changed ownership. First days breakfast was terrible, must have been cooked at 7am, we came down at 9am.Breakfast improved on the 2nd and 3rd day, but no choice.We stayed in a superior room so not to sure what the standard rooms are like. 3 star hotel only.
