We only stayed for one night, however we found the staff very friendly and attentive! The room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable, and breakfast was just the job! We had a room in the anex, so no sea view, but that was fine for one night! Great location, with in easy walking distance of everything Llandudno offers! Would stay again for sure!

Staff friendly and helpful. Room too small - no rom for a chair or even a stool. Carpet very dirty - needs replacing. Walls need re-painting. Mattress uncomfortable - too soft. Remote control had disappeared so unable to watch TV - not good!

Dirty hotel close to the beach

The bed made me really itchy so couldn't sleep. The shower didn't work water just dribbled out. Sea view room that you couldn't see out the windows because of thick dirt, had to clean the windows myself. Walked in with a can of soda and was told very abruptly that I couldn't take it in there for some unknown reason. Wouldn't ever stay there again

Great value and friendly staff

Excellent friendly and professional staff, great breakfast, close to town and the beach and great value for money. We had an annex room which was described as a small double but had plenty of room, although no view! Very happy with our stay and will definitely use them again when visiting family. Parking can be a bit of a pain as they are very central to town but the pay and display doesn't start till 10am so gives you plenty of time to get going in the mornings.

Iris has its eye on the seafront

Pros: Sea view. Great full English Breakfast, toast, cereals, coffee, etc. Good elevator. Clean and tidy rooms. Friendly staff.

Cons: Parking, but I very much doubt there’s anything at all the hotel can do about this to be fair. Disabled access may be a problem too, but check ahead.

Location: Llandudno has some great shops, prom, pier, the great orme, supermarkets, venue Cymru theatre, the superb blue elephant Indian restaurant, bars etc.

Firstly, if you are in any way excited by the prospect of seeing the seafront out of your hotel bedroom window, then simply ensure you book a sea view window at the iris. We did, and the view was great. Some rooms are back facing of course, and unless that doesn’t bother you, it’s something to best in mind. I booked on line, and everything went smoothly, including the request for a sea view room as requested. Parking is a pain, it’s like a bun fight out the front to get a spot near the hotel. It’s not the hotels fault. It is what it is. You are on a main road, on the sea front, you have to take on day visitors and fellow hotel stayers alike, for some street parking spaces. The front of the hotel looks inviting enough, and it’s surrounded by similar hotels, some though are ones with a big lounge looking outwards, probably slightly bigger hotels I guess. Coaches come and go, dropping guest off to those bigger hotels. The iris has a few steps up to the front door, which is not ideal for any elderly people who aren’t so good on their feet. There’s a rail, it’s all manageable, but it’s something to keep in mind. The reception is nice enough and the team behind the counter are good. Friendly and helpful. There is a bar there too, with a sea view. the lift is ultra modern to get you up to the rooms on each floor. The restaurant is nicely laid out downstairs. The breakfast was fantastic.
