The resort had a lot to offer but a couple of things kept my rating lower. A bit outdated but i guess typical for the area. The rooms were smaller than ideal, especially the bathrooms. Not much room to store supplies (for hygeine, cosmetics, etc). We had 4 people in our 2-double bed room & it was a bit tight to move around the room. Also seems like the shuttles to town should have been offered as a free service by the resort rather than have a cost to us. Mini golf, bike rental & coffee shop were great!

The food is not good. The service at the restaurant is extremely slow, we waited 30min to get our food, it is hard having little kids. The hotel is pricy to what is offered. The public restrooms at the hotel require more attention they are dirty, and paper cans were full.

We booked a room through Expedia expecting a queen bed and a lake view, but were disappointed to receive a mislabeled standard bed, a smaller room, and no lake view. The air conditioning was also excessively loud. Despite raising these issues with the hotel, no resolution was offered due to full occupancy. We hope Expedia and the hotel address these discrepancies to prevent future disappointments."

This is an old property, buildings are so spread apart, all buildings should at a minimum have a water filling station. Old hotel, nothing to rave about in the rooms. The pool is average. Outside is beautiful, but still not worth the price, especially if it doesn't even include breakfast. JD at the restaurant was AWESOME!

Lobby and lawn were awesome. Multiple cozy places to sit and fireplaces in the lobby. Landscaping on the lakeside lawn beckoned with white Adirondack chairs to sit in. Room in straits lodge were average rooms but convenient because twin beds were in a separate room from King and each room had a vanity sink for getting ready in the morning.

Stay was to celebrate our mothers 77th birthday. Made reservations at Chianti, staff was great, food was lacking...portions, flavor... we sent a few dishes back that smelled spoiled. Expected more foe a restaurant that was supposed to be high end. Hotel rooms were either hot or freezing cold. Air conditioner units were very loud when turned on. Noisy guest at 3am walking halls.
