Well the staff is awful about answering or returning their phone calls. However when we got there. They were super nice and accommodated us on our upgrade. Ok the downfall. The upstairs room. The jacuzzi water stank like rotten eggs. Then to make matters worse there was hair all up in the filter. Pubic hair jarred loose by the jets. (Shudder) Now were reasonable people. Figured it was just a fluke. We moved to the upgrade the following morning. Room 145. very nice. Jacuzzi was clean, odor free water. 😆 Ok later we found issues with this room too. Electrical issues, light switches didn't work. If one room was lit. It meant the other room had no lights out all. 1 bulb burnt out. Toilet leaked from bottom. Here im yelling at the boy's for what i think is poor aiming. (Straight up yello urine) Until i wiped and saw a trail along underneath the toilet bowl. Its leaking from the bowl. Gross! Now i should've called them on it. But the problem of getting a replacement room similar to what we had. Would've been bear impossible. Due to how booked they were. Ao we made the best of it. The beachfront room is gorgeous. But i wanted to let you all know to be proactive. 😀

The staff were incredibly kind and friendly - they were the best part of our stay! The location to the ferry was decent. Other than that we were disappointed. The hot breakfast was not good, which was the reason I booked this hotel. If you like pancakes and waffles you’ll enjoy it, but I can’t eat gluten so my options were dry, rehydrated powdered eggs, ham slices, and corn flakes. If high quality it would have been good, but we went out to breakfast 2 of our 3 days. Our room had a pretty musty smell and the mattress was really hard, old, and uncomfortable. The bathroom was okay - the water ran out of the shower & the shower head had a lot of hard water build up.

The workmanship on the $250 a night room was terrible. Was missing the soap holder in shower. Room would've been awesome other than that and the horrible tiling job. The rooms are NOT sound proof. That's false advertising.

The hotel gave us a room in 4th floor. And the hotel only has elevator to 3rd floor. We ended up dragging and lifting our luggages to 4th floor, and the staff didn't offer help. Awesome hotel!! Clean, friendly, variety of food for breakfast, and water park access across the street. Will always book here when returning to the city. I would say family friendly, girls trip, business trip etc. this hotel has old style while being updated. We loved our room, the staff, and the parking. There is beach access but it was too cold during our stay to enjoy it.

This hotel Desperately needs updates

The girls who work the front are absolutely amazing. So helpful abd so kind. The view was absolutely beautiful. BUT…the rooms are so so old. The hair dryer was dirty, the shower tiles were worn out and dirty looking, bugs were all over the door screen and surrounding the balcony so we couldnt even sit outside to enjoy the view we enjoyed from the inside which defeats the purpose of a balcony that you pay extra for. The pull out sofa you cant sleep on at all. The metal was going to dig into my body so i closed it up and slept on it like a couch. Those things made me sad because the service is awesome but the oweners of this hotel probably havent updated it in forever and it shows

We had a nice stay at this property. The breakfast was the same every day. Not bad but a variety of breakfast meat would be nice. I wish I'd know this was a Choice Hotel property before I'd reserved this motel.

The building looked lovely, the room clean except for all the spider webs and dead bugs on the balcony. Gorgeous view of the beach and lake. Jetted tub in room didn’t work and wasn’t repaired before we checked out 2 days later, but still large and relaxing. Everyone was friendly and helpful in answering questions.

It needed some updating. The pool area was small and very warm. The breakfast buffet was half gone when we arrived at 8:15 am. No choices of juices, no milk for cereal, no jogurt! The setup was not practical. We where a bit disappointed after paying over 180.00 dollar's for one night.
