Musk used to disguise urine smell

Heady smell of sweat mingled with perfume was in fact a urinal type smell from bathroom. Maybe ventilation issue and damp. Also not very well cleaned. Shame as last time I went there it was fine.

perfect location for everything.

Pros: location. size of beds.

Cons: staff very slow to deal with any issues. Not helpful with places to go. no information anywhere in the hotel on any attractions/ places to visit.

perfect location for seeing all madrid has to offer. Drinks in hotel bar very expensive. No information on local areas to visit. hair dryer in room not working. promised to be fixed but not done. Replacement dryer arrived then taken away again. staff not helpful at all.

Centrally located

Pros: Central location

Cons: Parking

In the heart of Madrid, this hotel is within walking distance of near enough everything. The rooms are well soundproofed and in very good condition. The only downside is lack of parking at the hotel and there was a power cut during our stay in which the staff were less than helpful for a resolution. Two negatives aside, I would definitely recommend!

Decent but nothing special

Decent room and location but the hotel had no amenities or indeed common areas to offer and staff service was just basic.

Good Location

Hotel is in a good location right beside the metro but for a four star hotel there was a lot of faults .Our room had no tea or coffee facilities or downstairs I also found the lights in the room very annoying.we were room only but to add on breakfast was €15 per person with is very expensive in Madrid.Also on site they show a spa but its also at a extra cost.The bar was not open for the 3 days we were there. I would stay here again just for the location but i did not find the staff helpful one of the girls couldn't tell us how to get to the royal palace then another staff member looked up something for us to see if it was open said yes and when we got there it was closed.Also when they ordered a taxi for us to go to the airport there did not inform us that a taxi ordered by the hotel costs more the to hail one which was easily done giving the location.

Great location

It was a great location and hotel was nice but unfortunately no English Channels apart from news and music. We were under the impression there was a spa but only massages available in the room which was disappointing. Some of the staff seemed a bit rude at reception but the breakfast and other staff were very helpful.

Romantic weekend

I am a regular visitor to Madrid. The class, the culture, the architecture, the people, the food, the wine, the fashion keep drawing me back there. The Vincii capitol is ideally situated in the middle of Gran Via. You can walk to many of the main atractions...Puerto del Sol, Plaza Mayor / old town, Royal Palace, Prado, Retiro Park, Rastro...and of course all the main shops, cafes and restaurants. The staff went above and beyond.....friendly, knowledgeable, polyglots. Our double room (808) was on the small side but had a balcony with a fantastic view. All 4 star amenities were available but the wardrobe was minute. Breakfast was more than adequate but at € 15 was expensive compared to local cafes Hotel was spotless at all time but the stepped entrance from Gran Via was a bit of an eyesore. Given the constant throng of people continuous passing this entrance it has become a popular resting point with people sitting on the steps, smoking, having their lunch, leaving their litter etc all of which bring down the tone slightly. Maybe have a porter / doorman stand outside at regular intervals to avoid people the using the entrance as a base camp / rubbish dump. Metro station Callao is just 50m away but if you are going to the airport you have to change twice with a lot of stairs in-between. Hotel has agreed a fixed price of € 30 with the local taxi company. Worth every cent.

Myself and my husband stayed at this hotel .Lovely comfortable room , Pleasant staff and very helpful .Also good location.

Preis nicht im Verhältnis! Essen und Service für einen 4 Sterne Hotel hätte ich mehr erwartet. Zimmer war nich top gesaubert.
