Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. We really liked this property. It was clean, convenient and we really liked having a full kitchen. We were able to have breakfast and put together lunches to take on our hikes. Eating at restaurants for every meal, gets old quickly. The only downsides were the furniture was pretty beat up, but I'm sure that's expected due to being a ski resort. And, the fridge kept freezing our drinks, even when we turned down the temp. That being said, those items wouldn't stop us from staying here again. We will definitely be staying here again.

While we enjoyed our 1-night stay here, there are a few things to be aware of: the rooms are fairly dated, and the additional costs. We found our 1-bedroom suite to be dark, tucked as it was into a corner. There were numerous stains on the carpet, to the point where it appeared almost dirty. The couch and chairs were similarly stained and dated. There is no AC in the units, meaning a hot sleep, even with the screened window open. I was surprised at the additional charges for both parking and “resort” fees. Take these costs into account when booking, as they add quite a bit to your final bill. All up, a nice place and location to stay at, but some serious work needs to be put into modernising the whole hotel!
